I have heard on NPR today that when President Obama went to china he had to bow down and beg for help cause we need China and its like a kid going to their parent asking for money...
I believe Spitzer stated this this am, I was just waking up when I heard the news report, so I am not sure if it was him or someone else who said that but it really scared me...alot.
I think China will possibly take over our country one day, soon too.

But it will be with real estate and jobs and not with guns or armys...but with papers and power perhaps?

Be aware of the source of your information and do your best to understand the real agenda of those that are providing that point of view and spoon feeding the public "facts" and "information". The news is no longer neutral, they have been bought out by the politians. Much of the information available in the media today is not based on the reality that many experience but on the agendas of those in power.

Obama is little more than a figure head and pawn to get people riled up about things to further political agendas that are not in the world's best interest.

This is not a time of meltdown, but a time of transition.

The world has always been changing. Empires have always risen only to one day fall. New regimes take over old regimes and the ideas and customs change as those in power change. Political and cultural transitions are well documented throughout our history on every continentant.

The difference we face in our current time is that we have overpopulated our world and depeleted or poisoned much of our resources. During the previous times of transition the basic ecological resources had been unaltered and were there for the newer regimes in a similar state to what the previous regimes had. The population of the world as a whole unit was stable at about 1 Billion people. But in the past 150 years that has changed significantly.

Since the industrial revolution our population has increased 6 times and will continue to increase if present customs and beleifs do not change on a world wide scale. With the invention of modern machines and the use of fossil fuels for energy and supplies (such as plastic) have created new substances that has significantly altered the ecology and even chemistry of the planet. The transition we face in the coming century is that of an ecological one not simply political. But it is still a transition. Life will continue, it may be far different than what we know now, but it will be.

When viewed from a more global perspective, what Obama and Spitzer do or say is really inconsequential to the fact that thousands of people are using resources in a way that is significantly changing the planet in ways that cannot be undone in the future.

Oh Chelonia, I could not agree with you more and you are so articulate in the way that you write about this!

One thing that I have noticed is the old strategy/tactic that has been used throughout history and that is the "divide & conquer" rule which is hard at work right now, I feel.

Keep folks busy and distracted with such emotional and ideological wedge issues such as gay marriage, immigration etc and the real problems go undetected and are allowed to slip just under the radar.

Interesting stuff here:

http://ampedstatus.com/part-v-.....of-the-usa

Yes, I agree with you Chelonia, we are in a transition ~~~~~

Actually, the more industrialized and educated a countries population gets, the LOWER it's birth rate is. Birth control is more prevalent, purchased, and used.

If it wasn't for immigrants, the U.S. population would be going DOWN significantly from past generations. More people are not having kids, or having one child. Immigration keeps our population where it is.

Much depletion of environments in the world are done through ignorance and not by overpopulation. Traditions on how to do things are deep, and new ways of doing things (such as new types of crops to grow, that require less land, and water, etc...) are resisted.

One of the surprising consequences of using BIO FUELS such as corn oil and palm oil instead of fossil fuels has actually CAUSED MORE destruction of the environment. Countries have cut down indigenous forests to plant corn and palm trees, because there is more money in growing these crops - because of the increase demand for 'BIO FUEL' oils.

Knowledge is power, and unfortunately, the modern media -for the most part - does a poor job of giving good, reliable, non-agenda oriented information.

Wow...thanks for the interesting posts guys, I wish I were able to articulate that well into what I would like to comment on:)

I think its all bout control of the resources, yes they are not as they used to be and yes our world is in dire need of changes, but I see something kind of bothersome here...

If you control the resources, you control the people kind of thing, that really really has me concerned.

I found this Blog a while back that has some interesting info about depopulation.

How those in power have been planning and implimenting certain things to deal with this issue> All of it clandestine and secretive. Diabolical plans.

( i detest the "conspiracy theory" notion thrown around when this kind of info is presented. Using that description sets a switch off in peoples heads, making the issue seem "crazy". The result is people discount information that is true and could very well save our lives and planet. The real descriptive word is PLAN. Period.)

Check the side columns for more articles relating to

http://eugenicsanddepopulation.....n-and.html

Curiousone. It's interesting you mention the biofuel movement. It does place strain on the ecosystem. However if we grew Hemp again for these purposes, and for so many other things, we wouldn't have this problem would we?

Problem is, like Chelonia points out, it's the materials we use, and are part of an economic monopoly, that are causing the worlds pollution and disease problems ( specifically cancer, immune problems, organ shutdown, birth defects, infertility, brain defects and learning disabilites ) Our economy is based on Raw materials that are syththised into poisoness finished products or we destroy old growth ( which upsets the whole eco chain and puts plant and animal species at risk) The more these toxins build in our ecosystem, the more health problems arise. Even mental illness.

Bigger problem is those who are rich and in power due to these economic monopolies bolstered by raw materials ( Oil, Cotton, Deforestation, Uranium, Coal, Factory Farm methods etc) won't let go and change.

Money seems to be more important than lives or our ecosystem.

That to me is absolute Madness!

However, the overpopulation question is there. How do we deal with that sanely?

I think whoever started this out as a conspiracy wanted it to sound as if it came out of the minds of fools and over time with the help of many outlets and we know what they are, it worked, but you know its not working so much anymore, mainly cause of what has happened in our world as of the last ten years or so and the intenet, people are seeing what is going on but its too late, even if it were not too late, you can't fight those who have money and power, you just can't...in fact its not ever safe to do so...

Let them tighten their grip on us all & watch our future (not to mention our children's future) go down the pot? They'd love everyone to believe that resistance is futile. In fact, they're counting on it.

I'll tell you what's NOT safe - turning a blind eye to the corruption.

Can anyone reccommend good reading material for a teenager or someone who is new to learning bout this? I do not want to come across as an alarmist but I am thinking of buying books for people who I care bout who have no idea what is going on, only reason I know is cause I been reading bout this for like 30 years, I studied it and now I see things, alot...sadly...so maybe i could gently educate and spark an interest in those I love or know well enough to confide in and perhaps they could use that book as a springboard for more learning?

BFG,

Re - sparking interest in others: All you can do is plant the seed. A few will listen with an 'open' mind, but most will not. Just the way it is.
People are slow to wake up, hang on to their silly myths despite evidence clearly demonstrating the falsity of them & continue living in denial. They've lost their capacity to think critically. Conditioned. Devoid of logic or reason.

Yea, the church is obscenely corrupt.

The internet is loaded with unfiltered info on all of this 'stuff'. Just Google your inquiries.

BTW, good on you for using your head, BFG

Thanks CraigCo....Sometimes I feel as if I am saying something so alien to people, that it makes them scared or laugh, so I often do not go there, I know so many Edcuated and open minded people and yet they are so closed minded when it comes to something that smacks ya right between the eyes, but maybe its fear and maybe its just plain ignorance and laziness too...or both....

Thanks Misguided...and Alien too!

I have just heard a new program in Pgh Pa about a new energy bill that is called ACT 129...it will be MANDATORY to use only so much electric and if you use more than your fair share, it will be cut off....and the ulitity companies will be fined millions of dollars if they do not cut use by a certain percentage, so they are being pressured into making their customers use a rationed amount...I am shocked that there is no outrage over this!

BFG
You are in the states?

No such thing in Canada unless I haven't heard yet. We have a huge problem with disclosure in our country now. The Harper Gov isn't releasing info and they black out lines in documents.

As for consumption issues. I find it quite odd that in my country new homes are built so large and have excessive lighting. I mean outdoor spotlights, indoor multiple spotlights in Kitchens, Chandeliers, basement spots, etc.All of these lights are high wattage incandescent, NOT fluorescent or halogen. They can be converted but some fixtures are too shallow for flourescent and Halogen needs a totally different prong type fixture.

They are built to consume too much energy then a few years later restrictions, new taxes, and energy hikes?

We have a small house with minimal lighting fixtures. We plan to switch to geothermal and solar in the near future. We already have a drilled well and septic. No city water or sewer service.

We're going off the grid. It's the only way to stop those greedy B'stards from doing whatever the heck they want!

I just finshed the video...very interesting...I knew alot already but not everything in it...so it was valuable time spent,,,

Yes...I live in the states, my daughter wants to escape to canada....but I told her that these issues areorldwide

We have switched to all energy efficent lighting as well and our home is bout 1200 sq ft and it was built in the 1930s..so its built very well. New windows were installed before the purchase.

I have heard that joining a jym is one way to have basic ulitities and not be on a grid...We would not be able to go off the grid due to the fact that are in a big city and are limited.

Our taxes are to increase to bout 20 precent soon...people are angry but the rich will it their way, too many people will profit from it and there are good "excuses" as to why they need to increase, its crazy.

Look up Act 129, Pgh Pa Forced Energy usuage...its shocking!

Also in the middle school where we live, a book on an uptopian world, a world where no one is allowed to be an individual or to have anything, must like communism is required reading and one of the teachers said she felt that it was a awesome society and scolded children for being upset with the book, god good! THe book is called "The Giver"...I feel its not approaite for the 6th grade and its even more inapproiate to say that this kind of world is a good world, a world where you are forced to do as you told, when you told and to give things up at certain ages and etc...just reading through the book made me sick to my stomach!

Well Hells Bells, I don't know about the rest of ya'll - but maybe, just maybe Jim Morrison (The Doors) had it right when he sang Roadhouse Blues Live:

Keep your eyes on the road, your hands upon the wheel
Keep your eyes on the road, your hands upon the wheel
Goin' to the Roadhouse
Gonna have a real
A good time

Yeah, back at the Roadhouse they got some bungalows
Yeah, back at the Roadhouse they got some bungalows
That's for the people
Like to go down slow

Let it roll, baby, roll
Let it roll, baby, roll
Let it roll, baby, roll
Let it roll, all night long

Yeah, my man! Come on!

You gotta roll, roll, roll
Gotta thrill my soul, all right
Roll, roll, roll,
Gotta thrill my soul
You gotta
[Unwriteable improvisation]
Aah, ride

Ashen lady, Ashen lady
Give up your vows, give up your vows
Save our city, save our city
Right now

Well, I woke up this morning, I got myself a beer
Well, I woke up this morning, I got myself a beer
The future's uncertain, the end is always near

Let it roll, baby, roll
Let it roll, baby, roll
Let it roll, baby, roll
Let it roll, all night long

...All right! All right! All right!
Hey, listen! Listen! Listen, man! Listen, man!
I don't know how many you people believe in astrology...

Yeah, that's right...that's right, baby, I...I am a
Sagittarius
The most philosophical of all the signs
But anyway, I don't believe in it
I think it's a bunch of bullshit, myself
But I tell you this, man, I tell you this
I don't know what's gonna happen, man, but I wanna have
my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames
All right! All right!

I repeat:

But I tell you this, man, I tell you this
I don't know what's gonna happen, man, but I wanna have
my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames
All right! All right!

(Sorry ya'll if that seems a bit 'negative' and all.....but maybe Jimbo intuited something here?????)

Just.....maybe???????
