"I mentioned this
on 13 June below, but the Project Avalon Forum thread Questions and
Answers about the Gulf Oil Catastrophe is well worth visiting. In
particular, I posted several major summaries on p.2, p.4, p.5, p.13
and p.15 that I would recommend as important supplements to the
thoughts and summaries on this page."

Oh
beautiful, just beautiful. Next year on September 11th, a towering
mosque shall be opened right there at ground zero. I think if I was
a family member of one of the deceased, that mosque just might
catch fire.

check this

WEll
now it's raining oil in Louisianna. BP is barricading oil and
burning it. the sea turtles (endangered species) are being burned
alive as they cannot escape the barricades. Environmental groups
are trying to collect them, clean them, and release them far away,
but of course are not allowed near the burn areas for "safety"
reasons. We're collecting as many carcasses as possible because for
each one that dies BP is fined. the more than burn to charcoal, the
less fines they have of course.

they still won't
let the farmers come take the surface oil with their straw, they
want to burn the oil. I was wondering why- it would cost the
farmers less to clean up than it's costing BP, but for each sea
turtle oiled up they get fined. So they just figure it's cheaper to
burn the oil and turtles at the same time.

And of course our
president still won't let the skimmers from Denmark and Saudi
Arabia come in.

Tropical storm
depression out there right now- maybe when people start dying in
mass numbers things will change a bit.

To hell with all
endangered species. They are just a resource for US. They belong to
US to use, to kill, to torture, to eat, whatever our
fancy.

Until humans join
the endangered list. But then, I can't help but wonder if it will
be too late. The universe always seems to balance itself out. Can't
help but wonder when WE as a species will be hunted, tortured,
burned alive, slaughtered,

.....

today I'm just
really disgusted.

Nobody is on mars.

Were all just
being distracted and propagandized into complacency or
submission.

It's in what you
watch, eat and drink. It's in the Pharmaceuticals we get
prescribed.The distractions and doublespeak is
everywhere.

We're absolutely
surrounded by insidious madness but we don't have to buy into it or
turn on eachother.

The G20 summit
makes me ill. The police provacateurs are there to sway public
opinion in favour of the gov, NWO and their plans for us
all.

The protestors,
anarchists or anyone opposed is the problem? I say BRAVO to the
protesters. The YOUTH that are trying to salvage their future. THEY
have my support

AND it's ok for an
army to enforce, do their crimes, but citizens are criminals for
using force, damaging property ?( not killing innocent
lives)

Property, OIL and
money are more important than lives.

Harper exudes this
cutesy arrogant smugness in his press releases.

tsk tsk

Dear
friends,

We did it! The
proposal to legalize whale killing went down in flames in Morocco
-- and our campaign helped to tip the balance.

In a few short
weeks, we built the biggest whale-saving petition in history,
signed by an extraordinary 1.2 million of us worldwide, and
delivered it directly to key delegates at the International Whaling
Commission meeting. In the end, the 24 year old whaling ban was
upheld.

The pro-whaling
lobby tried to use political favours to win a so called
'compromise' that amounts to a quota for hunting whales, but as
tension grew in the closed-door talks, our massive petition became
a top story on the BBC’s world news, and we worked with friendly
negotiators and other allies to put pressure where it was most
needed and draw greater global attention.

To see highlights
of this victory and help take our campaigning together to the next
level, click here now:

https://secure.avaaz.org/en/wh.....back_3/?vl

The Australian
environment minister Peter Garrett received our petition for
like-minded governments in front of the world's media and said
“Thank you very much Avaaz. It is a great pleasure to be here and
accept this petition...I believe the people of the world’s voices
need to be heard. I certainly hear them today."

The US delegation
greeted us saying -- “Avaaz! We saw your billboard at the airport!”
and delegates were overheard excitedly discussing our giant
real-time petition counter outside the meeting as it blew far past
the million mark.

After the meeting,
one European negotiator told us: "We've managed to keep the ban in
place...I've been checking the petition online. I was very
impressed by how fast the numbers are rising and seeing people
signing from across the world.”

This is an
important victory for whales -- and for global people power --
together we demonstrated that international decisions can be
shifted by a little bit of well-placed effort from a lot of people
everywhere.

But winning this
battle won’t guarantee the whales’ safety yet -- Japan’s
“scientific” whaling fleet is already sailing out of harbour
through IWC loopholes to kill hundreds of whales.

To win for good,
we’ll need to campaign to strengthen and reform the IWC, and to
mobilize in countries with pro-whaling governments like Japan --
where the Cabinet knows Avaaz and we have changed environmental
policy in the past.

https://secure.avaaz.org/en/wh.....back_3/?vl

Over its short
lifespan, our movement has exploded through a simple democratic
idea: that people power can stand up and win against powerful
special interests. Whether it be protecting whales, countering
corruption, supporting authentic democracy movements or fighting
for a global climate deal, we are coming together to bridge the gap
between the world we have and the world most people everywhere
want.

https://secure.avaaz.org/en/wh.....back_3/?vl

With
hope,

Ricken, Alice,
Paul, Mia, Ben, Luis, David, Graziela, Milena and the whole Avaaz
team

Good
news. finally some good news.

could it be the
world is slowly getting it's sanity back? I think more and more
people are waking up, fighting the corruption, peacefully, every
day.

Now how to enforce
it. that is the question.

You
haven't heard? I've designed a state of the art stealth submarine
and I'm gonna hunt down the whaling fleets and sink each ship one
at a time! Ha! Yushi frikkin Maru look out! It's faster than a
speeding bullet and carries oobers of torpedoes with little whales
painted on them.

Yeah i might go to
prison but they gotta catch me first!

Yea!
Save the Wales. Down with police provocatours-- I saw some stuff on
youtube months ago about that, the Infowars guy--Alex Jones. He put
it up, I think.

I am sure you all
know that "they" are blaming inviromentalists for the oil in the
Gulf. They said that they wouldn't be drilling that deep but for
"the environmentalists". I don't know that acual issue, but I saw
something on youtube (I think it was Judge Napalutano or someone
like that) saying that LA wanted them to drill closer, but the
Federal Government said that they couldn't. Plus all of the bad
moves by the British Poluting Company, and poor oversight my the
Mineral's management and all....And the fact that they were
drilling an "ultra deep" well in ultra deep water without having
the technology to contain it. Yet, they want to blame the
environmnt protectors.

oops,
I thought this was the gulf oil thread...

Well, Peter Schiff
seems to believe that we should be preparing for an inflationary
depression too. I was watching him on interviews that were posted
on youtube. Also he has a videoblog there.

"they" have tied the environmentalists hands! If enviro's were
in charge no oil would have ever reached the shore!. o crap I lost
the site I got this info from. Oh well, here it is:

The feds only
accepted assistance from 5 of 28 countries.

It took the Obama
Administration 53 days to accept help from the Dutch and
British.

It took them 58
days to mobilize the US military to the Gulf.

The feds shut down
crude-sucking barges due to fire extinguisher concerns.

The Obama
Administration ignores oil boom manufacturers that have miles of
product stockpiled in their warehouses.

They only have
moved 31 of 2,000 oil skimmers to the disaster area off of
Florida.

Florida hired an
additional 5 skimmer boats to operate off its coast due to federal
inaction.

There are no
skimmer boats off the coast of Mississippi.

The feds shut down
sand berm dredging off the Louisiana coast.

The president
continues to hit the golf course, ball games, hold BBQ’s and party
while the crude oil washes up on shore.

And the
environmentalists are a problem? Oh, those "they" peeps bug big
time!

Btw,
Bp guaranteed that basses were covered in the event of a spill in
order to be able to drill. Of course, this was not verified prior
to authorization.

BP lied. What a
surprise.

There
is plenty of blame to go around. Yes, if the environmentalist's had
not protested drilling on land they wouldn't be out at sea and it
would be easier to stop the gusher on land than a mile down in the
ocean.

This
administration has been next to worthless in helping. We go around
the world helping everybody, even those who hate us. Just recently
we all poured money into Haiti to help them. It is the right thing
to do, but now we have our own disaster and people are offering to
help and we say no thank you we have it under control????? We don't
have it under control.

This is my daily
life!!!!! I have not been one to go to the hospital or anything but
I did have one weekend I was so sick and couldn't figure out what
was wrong with me. I was telling a friend about it and she asked if
there was any chance I was pregnant? Finally I figured out it was
the smell of the oil and being down at the beach near
it.

I don't want to
boycott BP and bankrupt them just now. I want them to have the
money to give the fishermen, hospitality staff, and everyone else
down here whose income has been affected. I have a memory like an
elephant. They have said it will probably take 5 years for them to
totally clean this mess up. Start the boycott in year 6!

This is my daily
life and I am so heartsick I really am not rational to discuss
it.

Bitsy, boycotting BP won't bankrupt them. I read something
about them not eving having fiscal interests in the gas stations
anymore, and that the stations could be carring another company's
gas even. I don't see how you can blame the envirometalists for
anything unless theenvironmentalists were being unreasonable. The
bad belongs to bp and the lying oil men in general. The people
trying to protect the environment aren't hurting anyone (unless
they are not protecting the environment and doing something eles
under the guise of protecting the environment...ya know what I mean
)

I've read that
some of the well known environmentl groups are in bead with big
poluters too. So, I can understand the wanting to place blame, if
that is the idea. They, like their opponents can go overboard when
defending their position, too. So I can understand that. Otherwise,
I can't see how protecting the environment is bad. BP and the
mineral's management is bad...Our government response is bad...and
all this bad is in plane sight! OUCH!

((((Bitsy))))

I am so
dissappointed with people. Especially those in autority. I fear
them. I fear them, now.

Boycotting the local BP station is putting the local people who
collect money and sell beer, soda's, potato chips and other items
out of business. It isn't hurting BP corporate. It is hurting my
neighbors.
