I have heard so many theories of what is going to happen or what is not, that my mind is really stagnent...I was hoping you all would share what you believe is going in the world today? Are conspiracy theorists correct? Are they crazy? Is it something else? What is going on in our world today...and are we at the end of it or not?

BAREFOOTGIRL
I realize that there is a lot of confusing things going on.. like the conspiracy theories, NWO, etc. I am not sure of what is going on... either... though, for sure, we are in Global financial meltdown. Countries are failing... Iceland, Greece, Portugal, Spain, Dubai, just to name a few... and here in the USA, we have cities and states failing, as well. Too much credit, too many money hungry, power hungry people out there plus too many other countries looking to the USA for a "handout"... our industries and businesses went overseas where the labor is 5 times cheaper than it is here to make products... Americans started to buy these overseas items cheaper than what we could get them here... so a BIG imbalance happened... let's say the bubble burst. We were buying more imported products than we were selling our 'made in the USA' Products overseas. Double the amount of imports than what was exported. My dad always told me that once a country started doing that and having literally nothing backing its currency...except credit... then that country would go into dire straits...

If you mean 'are we at the end of it', like the Biblical sense of that statement (re: Revelations, etc.) ... possibly not... BUT... the world can not go on as it was...financially and lifestyle-wise...

Thank you red blonde for your reponse, I agree with you say and I hope your right bout the bibilical sense, not sure what I think myself on that issue but even with that aside there is sooo much information out there and so much is happening, that I feel overwhelmed and need to vent bout it and more so to even learn more of what I might not know and how i can protect myself, if that is possible...thank you..and nice to meet you too...

Hi BAREFOOTGIRL

Here's the latest documentary about the subject.

NWO is a reality and is partly responsible for economic colapse, deficits, inflation etc.

It's not easy to explain briefly however you can google the terms and info in this movie to cross reference and research the info.

It may challenge your belief system but you asked.

"Wake Up Call"_ New World Order Documentary 2008.

I like a challenge and thank you Msguided, I will use this later tonight to do some investigating! Nice to meet you too, I been reading on the site for awhile here and I am impressed with what I read so far, so many people I meet in face to face life just rather talk bout what is on TV that I have no real outlet to really discuss things that matter in life at least to me, infact many I know have kinda of hurt my feelings when i even hinted at the fact that there is something to this and that I find interesting, It was even suggested, in a light hearted eay but in a serious way that to think this way is to have a brain disorder ... so thank you.

I had heard about the NWO back in the beginning of the 90s... I had ignored it then... now I feel I shouldn't have ignored any of what was (conspiracy-) theorized back then. (Though, MsG, the 'reptilian-thingy -- as far as I can remember - was not much talked about... )

I do think that the average person (expecially in the USA) has been and is being 'duped'. I watched 9/11 unfold on the news... and I know there WERE many discrepancies... I only wish I had TAPED the whole damn thing!!! But, would I still be here? Those buildings -- all three of them --- were pulled!

I have some knowledge of what you speak of but I wanted to get more information and some other thoughts from a large pool of people, as this kinda of medium.

I knew of someone growing up whose father was or still is on one of those committees, they were very very well off and yet they lived in a very modest community...

That is all I should say but I found this out accidently while doing research on what his company used to make and process, I was very surprised to find this out, what I do not understand is why they still live in a workking class community.

I am not suggesting they are bad people or part of anything, so I want that to be known here, not saying that at all, in fact they were part of a huge new church and they were very religious...then again, well I will leave it at that....

Really should stop there, but it has me so curious to find out more, that I was hoping to find it here, I think I may have. thank you.

I think we are witnessing the end of the US as the world superpower and will see the shift to China in the near future.

Even India announced today they had over 7% economic growth recently, and we are no where near that.

The world is shifting and I don't think we are on the upside of the shift.

BAREFOOTGIRL.

Most people aren't exposed to higher education.

Many of the films or articles you will find concerning this have highly educated scientists, economists, researchers, Journalists, politicians, who are living productive successful lives. They come from research institutions, universities, and corporations.

Most of us don't move in those circles, so the average person will call you crazy.

Hi BFG,

Providing one hasn't lost their ability to think critically (i.e. fundamentalist Xtians, for one) it becomes quite clear that things in the world are not as they may seem. Follow the money & you will always find your answers. Remember, it's ALWAYS, about the money.(power/control) Religion no exception. In fact 'religion' plays an inticate role in the control & manipulation of the masses.

The people have been conditioned for so long now that most of them are no longer able to think objectively about reality or they are afraid to even contemplate the scope of corruption that is going on right under their very noses despite what they've been led to believe. And 'that' is what the powers that be are counting on - dumbed down sheeple. I read recently that the majority (over 50%) of Americans are just now finally doubting the legitimacy of the WTC investigation/fiasco. May unfortunately be 'too little - too late' tho.

At the root of it all - The Federal Reserve. Since removal of the gold standard & the 'Fed' having a monopoly on printing and thereby controlling the money/economy, things are going as planned for these ruling elite. Their power grasp is spreading across the globe at record pace. A NWO is inevitable. Just a matter of 'when' not 'if'.

"Oh the times, they are a changin" - Bob Dylan

Are we a part of the problem or a part of the solution?

We all need to demand change. But what changes and to whom do we turn to lead us towards making those changes?

Has this Venus Project site the answer?

Thanks for the insightful words guys..gosh, I never met so many people who believed what I did in one place. This frightens me. I am truly worried more than ever. I been reading the link you sent me Msguided and I have seen most but not all of that before and some of the things which are mentioned, I have some "experiences" with, I will not elboarte for obvious reasons however.

I am concerned for our future and our country...and our world as well. I have seen how religion plays a part in this all. I now see why and how that works so well for so many to be "conditoned"...even commericals and movies have alot of "well chosen phases" that seem to reenforce this.

Ugh:(

Tez..thanks for the link.
Interesting.

I personall prefer the charm of yesterday, I live in a town that preserves old historic buildings and even my home is a 1920s tudor...there is no charm like old world charm in my opinion...

to me a new society that had lacked our past would be very depressing! I like the mountains and the hills and the country...I do not like organized structures that tell me where to go and what to do, that would personaly bore me to death.

Now maybe if you liked that, it would work for you and others, but for me, I love old world charm, the meadows and the country:)

You wrote:

So do I love the good things about the 'good ole' days'. But don't forget that the old days also include Gettysburg, Cold Harbour, Bull Run, Mannassis, and the powermongers who very effectively set the uninformed and easily conditioned minds into a state wherein brother eagerly killed brother and neighbour killed neighbour in the bloodiest civil war in the history of the US. How did that happen?? Did that good old southern farm boy suddenly wake up one day and want to kill that yankee plough boy up north? I don't think so. I think that both were brainwashed and manipulated into believing that the other was his enemy and that each side's cause had God's backing. The same thing has happened over and over throughout history.

Perhaps it is time we all woke up before it's too late. See MsGuided's video mentioned above for a good thought provoking presentation of what's going on. I particularly liked the first and the last few minutes that contained a very deep message about the ultimate nature of reality.

Thanks MsG.

I could not agree more and I can see how we were set up on all fronts here too, maybe too clearly that it really really bothers me, I mean enough to post here and want to talk bout it...I still do not understand why more people do not see this, I mean I been brainwashed as much as the next person, I obtained my education late in life, I was utterly controlled to the point of having so opinion or mind of my own, so why do i see this and others on here but so many in society look at you as if you lost your mind when you speak of this?

WOW (((TEZ))) TYOU!!

I really appreciate the fact you watched the video and went to the Venus Project site. I love Jacque Fresco. But he's near his end. The Compound is for sale. WHO will buy it? Who will carry on the plan? I tried to get you to visit these sites a while back, but you were on the Buddhist path, and wouldn't waver.

I understand you, everyone, needs SOMETHING, that brings balance and peace to their lives, but i am of the mindset that this is also a distraction to what is really going on Now.

We all DO need to wake up before it's too late.

I love free open spaces ( those that retain their natural state with wetlands, creeks, older growth forests with diverse species) but they are disapearing at an alarming rate for progress!!???The charm and permanance of older architecture, and living spaces created within city realms: gardens, contemplating water features, places of rest, but these are being pushed aside for hardscapes.

Money IS madness. Period. What is it anyway? A piece of paper has no value to me compaired to Old Growth forests, a natural stream, the millions of lifeforms on this planet?? THe natural element on this globe that keep us HEALTHY!? what about our human bonds? they don't matter either? Not to the power brokers.

We all need to be brave because there is a backlash to our stance. When will we be lined up for the "ovens"?

BFG, sd, red, CC, TEZ..thanks for being here.

Be well!

Thank you misguided and everyone else, I hope you all keep posting when you can and I also hope others will post what they feel comfortable in sharing...There is so much more I would of loved to have posted, but anyhow...

I am trying to wonder how much time we have left to own our own homes, to live as free as we are now, and etc...I mean how bad is it? How long do we have? I am worried...there is NO one else who would listen and if they did, they prolly tell me to seek professional help...

Is there something we can do to protect ourselves or is that wishful thinking? Are we just ducks sitting?

It is kinda of interesting to me, cause of where I live, in a upper class area, I come across alot of weathly people who are in banking, education and etc...

Who make fun of people who believe these things are possible. I do not say anything...I just listen and watch and I often feel they sense I feel this way, sometimes I feel the conversation going in that direction and I make light of it...its weird...

It really weird that it bothers me more than it should maybe or is this something that I should be more careful bout?

Hi All,

Oh Gosh - what a great thread! Thanks for starting it BFG!!

Yeah, I remember back in the Nixon days when the gold standard went kaputz - and even though I was fairly young at the time....I remember thinking and getting a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach...uh oh 🙁

To the point about TV commercials, does anyone remember Chase bank having one that played the Queen song: "I want it all and I want it now?"

Interesting link on the subject:

http://www.ekgonamerica.com/?p=9

BFG, it sounds like some of the folks that you try to carry on a critical, intelligent conversation with are in denial, to put it bluntly. Are you (or anyone else here for that matter) familar with the book (10-2009) by Barbara Ehrenreich: "How the Relentless Promotion of Positive Thinking has Undermined America"?

Here's the amazon link. You might find the 2 editorial reviews interesting (especially the one on the 1st page from the Washington Post spot-on as well as clicking on all the editorial reviews...)

I have not read the entire book, but I did manage to read the last chapter and found it dead on!)

As far as the state of this country, recently Cheif Two Speaks and has this to say:

Recently an old Indian chief sat in his hut on the reservation, smoking a ceremonial pipe and eyeing two U.S. Government officials sent by the President to interview him. "Chief Two Eagles," asked one official, "you have observed the white man for 90 years. You've seen his wars and his technological advances. You've seen his progress, and the damage he's done."

The chief nodded in agreement.

The official continued, "Considering all these events, in your opinion, where did the white man go wrong?"

The Chief stared at the government officials for over a minute and then calmly replied, "When white man found the land, Indians were running it. No taxes, no debt, plenty buffalo, plenty beaver, women did all the work, medicine man free, Indian man spent all day hunting and fishing, all night having sex." Then the chief leaned back and smiled. "Only white man dumb enough to think he could improve system like that."

Source: http://www.powwows.com/gatheri.....peaks.html

(Though, I would be remiss if I didn't say that I take issue with 'women did all the work" comment)

My apologies for length. Just had a bunch of this different stuff swirling around in my head..........

I know what ya mean BFG.

Careful? if you are brave enough to endure the backlash, and feel secure enough in yourself, then spread the word.

If Not tread carefully and wisely. Hold your cards close. If your friends aren't responsive, give it up and accept that unless they come to you. You gave some info, now it's up to them to come back.

People are scared for good reason.

There are people who beleive as we do. U just need to seek them out and maybe widen your social circle. Many circulate within the arts and Music.

That's what I've done at home. It is important to have group support at home or ya feel isolated. I guess Isolation is what's seeping in with you. (((BAREFOOTGIRL)))

Well GEEZ (((tBt)))

It's about time ya chirped in! LOL

Great links. AWESOME books you recommend.

About the Chief Two Speaks comment.

"women did all the work"

If this is authentic ( for the most part the description of Indian life is right on) The women were protected, provided for and Matriarchy was revered within certain tribes. Women didn't take the risks of hunting, or going to Battle. Since technology wasn't around to take the load off for domestic and child rearing duties, they stayed in camp, child rearing, some gathering or farming and they worked together. The whole community supported eachother.Everything was labour intensive.

HUnting sounds romantic but would i want to fight in Wars? Would i want to be wandering the wilderness hunting while menstruating? What if I'm pregnant? Perhaps the role of women was based on protecting them and their offspring. The natives really LOVED, nurtured and cared for there children.

Have you read Germaine Greers "Sex and Destiny" or "The Female Eunich"?

In those books ( even though she doesn't speak of native cultures , she writes about older european cultures)She outlines the support and comfort women recieved by child rearing, by embracing their reproductive roles, within more traditional Family oriented cultures. The support extended to unrelated women who were part of the community.

The Numbers made it easier for women to perform their duties as workers and mothers. She observed the joy in their lives that we lack.

Our white culture dictates staving off reproduction. We want our kids finishing college and working before they have kids. We live alone, or in nuclear families and are cut off from soem support that is FREE! Who does that serve? I think it's rediculous to expect people to abstain from sex when their biology has them ready. Why is that?

I know for myself raising my son was a job in itself.Passing it off to a stranger wasn't part of my plan. However our nuclear families cause us to hire caretakers ( nurseries, Baby sitters, Nannies) so we can be tax payers?

Extended families and close nit communities did for FREE what we pay for today. Yea. The ruling elite want us all individually working, paying taxes, locked in without our own support systems? The FREE ones that empower people.

The thing about Native women of the past is they had none of the body image shaming, objectifying, or limitations put upon them. Child bearing was their right. Men didn't control their fertility. They could move freely inside and outside the camps. They could sing and dance in abandon without being punished. Their beauty was rvered and accentuated. I doubt they were supressed or abused like you see within euro, NA, or asian communities. Speciffically ones bound or ruled by religion(s).

Native women "working" wasn't the same as our cultures.

Theres' so much we don't know due to white history clouding the truth.

Then again it depends what tribe and location. Some tribes were more peacfull than others.

Interesting to ponder.

MsG,

Yes, Yes, Yes! I sensed deep down that there was something more to the 'women did all the work' comment...but I couldn't quite place my finger on it and sister, you really brought it out in the light for me.

Thank you for that!

(Got goose-bumps now - so you MUST be speaking in truth!!!! 🙂

I also understand that in some Native American cultures, that if the woman wants a divorce, all she has to do is set her husband's shoes outside the door - and that's that.

(No divorce attorneys etc...)

Kind of along a different line....do you find it kind of interesting that a woman who wrote the book: "It Takes A Village" (1996) is now U.S. Secretary of State?

Hmmmmmm...........

Hee hee...I needed a good laugh myself...I have never read that book but it sounds like an interesting one, one that I will add to my list of books to obtain, eventually. I have a pretty long list on amazon and I have yet to buy any...but I plan on doing that soon.

We had a whole week off of school this week. Horrible snow storms, living in a shelter for a night and my dog...my little sixpounder almost died cause we had no heat and no where to take him, I was going to sneak him into the shelter as a last resort, since no one i knew who had heat had offered to help or was willing to take him, he is a tyrant but he is my baby too.

I will be back however, just have to get things in order more here, keep writing, I will be back to read what you all wrote, thanks again for doing so, its helps me ALOT and maybe it helps people who are too scared to post too, hope so anyhow..BFG

I will let you know bout the shoes! hee hee.
