Hi. I've just come across this article and am panicking! The description of behaviours & low self-esteem seem exactly like co-dependency. And exactly like me. I'm hoping people will show me how this is wrong ... though, in my own experience, friends who have died of cancer (or developed it) do all seem to conform to this type. HELP!!!

Well, I am not the one to deny this theory. I am co-dep and have been diagnosed with cancer. I am sorry this isn't helpful.

I am sure there are people out there who have been in our situation and are healthy physically.
