I am thinking yes.  Imagine a school without counselors.  Disciplinary action and problematic students would have to be dealt with by the teachers themselves.  Some of them might not have enough training to deal with problem students.
What's more, this situation would mean less instruction time for the teachers, making education much more difficult!

I think that school counselors help students cope with a lot of problems, be it problems at school, personal problems or problems that come with being teenagers.

As you all know, coping is really very important not just for student but for all of us. But young people, especially, have to learn how to cope even with the most difficult problems!
Bullying, for instance. If a student is being bullies, he or she should talk to the school counselor about it!

Also, school counselors are the best people to turn to when students need advice in their future careers.  They can talk to the students to find out what they plan to do after graduation, find out where their aptitudes lie and what career they would be able to succeed in most probably.

I think school counselors have their place, but I think it they are not necessarily mandatory to education. I do not recall ever going to a school that had guidance counselors, so it is obviously possible to succeed without one.

When I was in junior high, I had problems at school which I took to our counselor for help. A few tips on study skills as well as a few words of encouragement did the trick to get my scores up.

I think of guidance counselors as more of career/higher education counselors than anything else. When I was in school, they would review our records and make suggestions about moving up to advanced classes or getting a tutor if there was a problem. Then junior and senior year they focused on helping us pick the right colleges, filling out applications, etc.

I think that counselors have a bigger role now than say 25 years ago.  They need to help create a positive learning atmosphere for their students, handle any problems that may interfere with their learning.  What's more school counselors need to be more proactive to ensure brighter futures for the students.

I think that part of the reason counselors have a bigger role now is because a lot of parents are abdicating that role. When I was young, the parents were the ones who handled any problems that might have interfered with the child's learning.

The school counselors that our local school system has failed my grandson miserably. He had a learning disability and the counselor failed to pass the study plan on to all of his teachers and he was constantly ridiculed. They will only help in our town if you have a certain "upper class" name.

School counselors are essential to the school experience because they should act as the conduit for the parents.  They are in charge of monitoring the students' emotional health, physical well-being, and academic performance.

It was difficult for me to find help here after reading touching testimonies about spell casters. I was wondering why there are so many testimonies about them, if there are gods, demons, spirits or humans? to do what people say about them? I needed help too after reading similar cases but I was confused on who to contact. I had to pray over it for a night until I was being lead to email Dr. Wakina through [email protected] by a strange spirit from all the listed emails of spell casters. I found out that Dr. Wakina is a human, gifted to see things beyond and command spirits to obey, his powers are not evil and he stands to his word till the end. I learned so much from his educative spirit and I became confident of myself after he appeared in my vision and whipped my tears before bringing back my Husband. I woke from the vision the night he finished the spell and everything I saw manifested, my Husband who left me and our kids since Friday, November 28, 2014 at 21:14, come back to us from nowhere on his kneels begging and thanking me for getting him out of demonic relationship with a stranger. We both thanked Dr. Wakina. I have never doubted my spirit and I do exactly what it tells me, I stayed calm and trusted Dr. Wakina until the very last day of his promise.

I am not recommending him to people, but I just gave my own testimony. Everybody has the right to make choices, that’s why I chose him and I will advise that you follow your heart before choosing a spell caster. His email address once again is [email protected]
