I had a friend once who was a functional sleepwalker.  She had conversations, could cook dinner, watch TV, play with the dog, and everything else, but she'd be asleep.  I'll never forget having a 2 hour phone conversation with her one time, hanging up the phone and then getting a call from her a minute later asking if we'd just chatted.  She'd been asleep the whole time, so no real recollection of any of it.  The doctors say a lot of people have that and that there usually any harm done, but it sure was disconcerting.  You never really knew if she was awake or not.

Greetings Loretta~

Wow! I have heard of the terminology but what You brought forth was quite Interesting how later after interaction with Others & You... plus doing daily chores would call You afterwards to *ask* if You & she just chatted~ Surprised Now the Doctors You mentioned... did they speak of *what if* she was having a Nightmare that she would-could *act out* ... & could possibly get hurt or hurt Another without knowing *consciously*? I'm not trying to make it a Nightmare on Elm Street but IF she was *not aware* she was even asleep... Heaven forbid she *dreams* of a violent act & *acts out*... (maybe dreaming Another trying to attack her then gets defensive- which would be a reactive response)
does that make sense? ... You have Inspired me to look further into this~ Thank You & I hope Your Friend has been able to find out more herself & become more aware~ what raised an eyebrow that would concern me if I endured such... is the part of *no real recollection of any of it*...
It can be tricky enough when a *Dream* can *appear Real*... but to walk-talk & move about- functioning... Wow!
Thank You for sharing... Have a Great Night! Blessings~

These cases are rare, but happen certainly.
