Sorry can't help you Random, this is the only site I've been too, no actually I briefly skimmed another site - can't even remember where - and it seemed the posts were very disjointed and rambling.

It's hard to see you leave but if you feel it's for the best you need to be true to yourself.

((((Random))))

Love,

Desert Moon

Sweet RW,

Actions speak louder than words!!!

Faith is giving, loving others uncoditionally, even if we do not quote Bible words...or state it litterally.

What we are doing here is FAITH.

Our unconditional love, generosity, support, listening, all these are Faith.

Can't you see it honey?

We are still lucky, cause we can post prayer requests, even though this site is secualr. Can't you see that?

((((I LOVE U RW))))

RW,

Honey, believe me that did not change anything. Faith is love. Read my previous post again.

Remember honey, this is a secular post. We have to respect others.

Randomwomen2,

Like some others, you are putting words into the SCs mouth and getting upset about some things that were not even said. You are making things up in your head and then getting upset about the things you made up.

Please re read what the SC and others have said about this topic.

This is about safety, inclusion, and appropriateness, not censorship.

The SC said:

"Please keep religious based support...separate from the Support Threads...Religious discussions are welcome as they have been in the past, on the liberation brew threads."

Many people, even many passionate Christians, find preaching to be offensive, especially in a counseling context. Counseling is about science, common sense and humanity; it is not about religion, nor is it particularly compatible with religion.

Why is it so threatening, limiting, or offensive for anyone to keep religious material on the other side of the board?

I think if someone says "please pray for me" that the SC, or hardly anyone will object to that. Just use common sense.

RW2 - I have let people know in another thread that some of us are using http://www.sober24.com for our more religious/spiritual discussions. Please feel free to join us. You have to register (no fee for 60 days, $12 a year after that). They have an email program, so if you email me, I promise to answer you as soon as I get a chance.

SC - Since you had suggested we find another site if we feel the need for deeper religious/spiritual talk, and since many of us found people we rely on for comfort here at AAC, please know that me posting this is in no way intended to be disrespectful to you and all you have done here at AAC.
