It means shaving my legs, feeling sexy, wearing perfume, silk, and MAN I FEEL LIKE A WOMAN. It's the Shania Twain song, even though I am not that much into country. Great song.

Well that too, but I think I would rather be a woman than a man, I mean men dont get to be all sexy like we do, and they cant enjoy bubble baths like we do, and they just seem so rough.

Being a woman means that I am unique, God made me very special.

Women are 'Mistresses of the Domain'. Sent to rule the earth for God.

Women are 'Helper-Completers'. Made from the man, and for him. Without us, he is nothing! *wink*

Women are 'Lifegivers'. In partnership with God, through us comes all life. Including Jesus the Christ.

Women are 'Ladies of Wisdom'. By modeling the Proverbs 31 woman, we have lasting traits that are uniquely feminine.

Women are 'The Glory of Man'. The last creation of God. We represent the Believer and the Church. Man is to love and cherish us, as Christ loves the Church.

Those were taken from 'The Five Aspects of Woman'. A Bible study that I went to at church a year or so ago. =) It was really neat to learn all that. Anyways, on a lighter note: To be a woman for me means that I wear my heart on my sleeve. Some men may also do this, but I am thankful that I am a girl. =) I was actually thinking about this today! Also, that I can wear pretty things, like jewerly and dresses, and that I have a soft pretty voice. I like romantic things. I can be a total contradiction! *lol* All kinds of things! ~Amanda~

I also wear my heart on my sleeve! Sometimes I wish I wouldn't, but that is just how I am. Being a woman to me sometimes means I have to try to look perfect like in magazines, and never be the dreaded word, a bitch. But then again, being a woman means standing up for yourself, being strong and intelligent and proving to everyone you can do anything a man can do. Except pee standing up.

*lol* Yeah! That's true. And yes, never ever be anything bad. (Like a bitch, or a slut, whatever.) (Oh, yeah, except if you like to be called that in bed) Does that mean I have problems? *lmao* Anyways, and also, it means I am just so smart! I am awesome! (Even though I don't feel it most times) Oh and yes too about the having to be perfect thing. *sniffles* =( Amanda

Let's not forget that being a woman means dealing with emotions that would have a man curled up in a ball on the bathroom floor repeating his mother's name.

(Sorry guys - don't mean to sound like I am male bashing - you would understand if..well...you were a woman 😉

For me, I was socialized to believe that being female was akin to being a man's inferior...whatever you do, do not challenge a male's inflated opinion of himself. Being a very smart and assertive person, you can imagine that this scenario would be quite problematic for me.

Being a woman is power. Giving it away is the problem most of us have. Just imagine what we could create if we all took our power back.

I have taken mine back and don't want to give it away again!!!!!

"Pretty women wonder where my secret lies, I'm not cute or built to suit a fashion model's size....but when I start to tell them - they think I'm telling lies. I say - it's in the reach of my arms....the span of my hips...the stride of my steps...the curl of my lips. I'm a woman phenomenly. Phonemenal woman...That's Me.

I walk into a room, just a cool as you please - and to a man The fellows stand or fall down on their knees....then they swarm around me - a hive of honey bees. I say - it's the fire in my eyes and the flash of my teeth - the swing of my waist and the joy in my feet. I'm a woman phenomenally. Phenomenal woman....That's Me.

Men themselves have wondered - what they see in me....they try so much - but they can not touch...my inner - mystery. When I try to show them - they say they still can't see, I say - it's in the arch of my back, the sun of my smile, the ride of my breasts, the grace of my style. I'm a woman phenomenally. phenomenal woman...That's Me.

Now you understand - just why my head's not bowed....I don't shout or jump about - or have to talk real loud.....when you see me passing - it ought to make you proud. I say, it's in the click in my heels, the bend of my hair, the palm of my hand.....the need for my care. "Cause I'm a woman phenomenally. Phenomenal woman....That's Me!"

This awesome poem was written by the great poet Maya Angelou and titled, Phenomenal Woman (appropriately)

Don't it just give ya chills??? 🙂

jeez Brenda, that was something words can not define for me. A sum of all we write about on this board and a total of what we want to become.

Thanks. Lori
