I can't believe in 2011 there are still prejudice people out there.  I would think that some older people might still have these feelings, but come on to the rest of us.  Everyone should be equal yet you hear about people being picked on all the time.

It's better than it used to be I can see that but we as a society have a long ways to go. It would be nice for everyone to live peacefully together but I just don't see that happening, there has always got to be someone who wants power over others.

I do agree that it is better but it should be gone now.  It's sad to see some kids get picked on in school because of their color.  I mean come on ~ it is 2011.  I think a lot of it is parents.  The really mean parents are teaching their kids that it's the way to be.

I question myself all of the time to see if I am coming from a prejudiced perspective. The problem I have now is that the prejudice has now turned around and bitten us on the bottom. Honestly, as far as I'm concerned, we are all the same color under the skin.

I agree, we are all equal and the same color under the skin.  I just don't see why everyone does not think this way.  Man can you imagine if we were all the same?  What a boring world that would be right?  I like diversity.

I am sad that it still exists as well. I am Asian, and sadly, I have to say that I was called a lot of names in high school. This was around ten years ago, but I remember them clearly.

Now, my family lives in the South. I find my Dad (white) to be a bit racist in regards to other races. It's sort of ironic, considering that my Mother is Asian.

Isn't that a hoot?  To be racist yet have a child with another race.  Makes you just laugh!  I do think it's the baby boomer generation, my parents have friends that are racist and it drives me crazy.  I am not racist even in the slightest bit and I try to keep myself away from those that are.  Wait that might mean that I racist against racist people!
