We keep losing these darn threads. Anyway. I finally had another dream last night. Or this afternoon, depending how you look at it.

I dreamed my cat was still alive. I think I was 17 again. Although I can't remember how old I was. I was holding her close and petting her. Then she just suddenly started talking to me. She told me her name was Jennifer and that she was 28 years old. I assumed that she was talking about her past life or something. I didn't quite understand.

I needed answers so I called up my Aunt. Now that I'm awake, I don't have a clue why I called my aunt about this. But in my dream it made perfect sense. I don't remember the first conversation, but I got the sense that she wasn't helping me because I was annoying her.

The next part is a bit fuzzy. But I remember looking out of my front door and seeing the two girls who live next door playing in my front yard. They were taking turns bending over while the other one would throw a giant beach ball at the other's ass. They are both teenagers now, so I wasn't sure if I should be enjoying it or not. Well... I did enjoy it for a bit I guess.

Then I went back to sitting on the couch with my cat. It was an old couch we used to have years ago. I called up my aunt again. This time she told me that she would hang up if I kept meowing at her. I wasn't sure that I ever did that, but I assured her that I wouldn't do it. I also was trying to be as discreet as possible since my parents were in the room. I didn't want them to hear what I was talking about. Then my aunt went silent. She wasn't responding to me. I called out again and again but she wouldn't answer me.

That's when I heard a weird squeaky sound from my feet. I pulled off my blanket and saw my cat with a little baby mouse between her front paws. The mouse was tiny and completely bald and wrinkled, like a new-born mouse. The mouse was trying to punch my cat, but obviously falling short. It was swinging its arms in mid air.

At that point my thoughts ran to infestation. Where there's one baby mouse, there's going to be 100. I was afraid that we now had 100 mice living inside the couch somewhere.

That's when I woke up.

That's what I wanted to know. She didn't say anything else after that.

That dream made me uncomfortable, I can only imagine how you felt. Dreams are partly made up of little snippets of real life experiences during that day. We regurgitate them into a story. For example, if you buy batteries, they may show up in your dream.

One thing my husband was into was "lucid dreaming". He wanted to wake up within a dream and control the action and make anything he wanted to happen happen. Ever hear of that?

I think she was 20 or 21. And that was last year. I don't think it was her. In fact, that was my big question throughout the dream. I had no idea who my cat was saying that she was.

I've only had one moment in dreaming when I realized I was in a dream. I tried to turn it into a sex dream but I woke up. Consciousness is a bitch sometimes.

Yes I have heard of lucid dreaming, but have never managed to have one myself. A college boyfriend of mine told me about one he'd had, and did manage to turn it into a sex dream. Something about a group of cheerleaders in the back of a van filled with buttered popcorn.

I've always disliked cheerleaders.

Last night I dreamt I was at the beach. there were two guys from work there. I forgot who one of them was, but the other guy was my safety guy. He was wearing his yellow shirt.

The waves were very turbulent. I was sitting on the very top of the beach and the tide was reaching me. I wanted to jump into the water, but the waves looked too rough.

The other two guys went into the water so I tried to follow them. I guess I was a cat because I was on all fours trying to run forward. But I was wearing a hat that kept falling down and blocking my vision every time I tried to run. I attempted to get to the water twice before I woke up.

I had a dream that someone was trying to give me medicine through a needle in my head, it hurt like hell, and I woke up with my cat kneading my scalp.

I think I was a cat in my last life. I used to always have dreams where I am on all fours running. Or dreams when I change into a cat.

New type of dream this morning. I dreamt of a new Harry Potter scene, of all things.

Everything took place in a giant vertical pit with water at the bottom. Kind of like an oversized well. The first thing I remember was the three kids sitting on a ledge. They had to dump 4 pieces of treasure somewhere on the little ledges that littered the pit. At the same time they were consoling Harry who was upset about something. I forgot what they were talking about though.

Ron placed a silver wristwatch closest to them, a little ringlet of pearls next to it, a gold ring after that and he was trying to figure out where to put an old coin. Harry waved his hands and started moving the pieces back and forth until everything was placed except for the pearls. Those he dumped straight down into the water. He felt it was more appropriate.

The next thing I knew it was class. Everybody was assembled near the bottom of the pit. Snape was riding around on a broom catching all the treasure the others placed. harry had a stopwatch and was timing how long it took for him to gather everything. Snape was using some sort of seeing power that turned all the treasure a bright yellow color. He snagged everything except the pearls within a few seconds.

He flew around a bit before he dove into the water. As soon as he got under he started struggling. His black cape entangled his body. He was eventually pulled out, and he was pissed. "I said NOT in the lake."

Harry saw that he was wet and told him to ring out the pearls. Snape twisted the ring and water dripped from it. The water also evaporated from his body, but not all of it. He gave that icy tone, "I'm still damp." After that I got the impression that the usual points were deducted.

After that is a blank spot in my dream. Next thing I remember is the 3 kids crawling back into the pit towards the top. They were trying to sneak out again. Except this time the pit was filled with a giant elevator type of amusement park ride. This cage full of people kept flying up and down. Right in front were the Weasley twins. As soon as the 3 stepped into the pit they heard, "Hey Harry!"

Harry responded, "Hi Fred. Hi George." Then the cage dropped insanely fast to the bottom of the pit. "Bye Fred. Bye George."

The cage then shot up again. "Hey Harry."

Harry smiled. "Hi Fred. Hi George." the cage dropped again and Harry said goodbye to them again. Hermione and Ron came onto the ledge. They carefully sidestepped on a small ledge all the time muttering, "Hi Fred. Hi George. Bye Fred. Bye George." as the cage kept shooting up and down at high speed. It sounded like they did this to keep themselves from thinking about falling off the ledge.

That's when I woke up.
