I wanted to drop a quick line to my friends here to let you all know that I'm doing fine and that I've missed you guys, alot!

My life has changed so much since last we talked...

Obviously, my Laptop is up and running.

I got a new Job, which allows me to keep my mom's house!!!

My roommate (the sister whom I don't particularly get along with) moved out and there is FINALLY PEACE IN MY HOUSE.

My son just turned 10!!!

I'm getting to know a very nice and smart and sensual guy and we are taking things S...L...O...W...L...Y.

And, I'm back at AAC to virtually hang out as often as my new, crazybusy schedule permits.

Thanks to each and every one of you guys for the hearty congrats and the warm welcomes. They felt good!

I feel like my life is finally on the right track, you know? I'm an executive assistant for a great company and there is the opportunity to become a bookkeeper in about 6 months.

I'm developing a solid work ethic as I care about little things like good attendance and showing the value of my time and energy to the team. My mom would be so proud of me for that (She was a hard worker her entire life-from her "farmers daughter" childhood to 30 something years of service to the same company).

My sister moved out when I was at work and she took everything with her...EVERYTHING, even the curtains on the wall. Worst of all, she took some of the things I had to remember my mom by-like a clock she was awarded for her 25th year of service to her company.

That part still stings a little. The selfishness of her and the disrespect of her and the arrogance of her really make my blood boil sometimes.

But now that she's gone, the peace that I spoke of above is real. My kid feels it too.

Now, when I walk through the door, I don't feel oppressed...I feel free and it's great!

My goals right now are to:

1. Get the locks changed, ASAP
2. Completly refurnish the house (She even took my garbage can).
3. Learn what I'm supposed to learn from this ordeal and not allow myself to hate her for the misery she spreads around.

The guy "L" is cool. He's an IT Specialist. I find myself wanting to get all coda with him and voulenteer to do things for him and take good care of him...It's taken some practice, but so far, I've managed to fight the urge.

Thanks for listening guys. I have a little more on my situation

Work is fast paced, constantly busy and stressful but very good for me.
Dispite the hustle, I make time for ME. I work out three times a week. I'm return phone calls to friends and family and I'm really making an effort to let people into my life.

My son and I have dinners together at the table and a standing weekly movie night.

In many areas of my life, it is the best of times. Yet, in a few areas of my life, it is the worst.

I'm learning that the unfinished business we try to hide from will come back to find us until it gets resolved. Throught the years, my best defense against my controlling, bully of a sister was always to withdraw. Since my early teens we've had a stormy relationship which has always included long periods of silence where we say absolutely nothing to the other person.

Well, now I have a co-woker who is equally as, shall we say, difficult to relate to and understand.

Somedays, it's like being 10 all over again.

How do you find a win/win medium when dealing with aggressive, controlling, difficult people?
