Hmm well I wrote my letter and I've posted it - no going back now! Bf thinks it sounded alright. Dad thought the concept wasn't good (didn't see the letter). I'm not sure if he's concerned from a 'she'll react badly to that one' or a 'I hope you don't cause her to cut off contact with you' perspective. Anyway, to late now, it's posted and I can't get it back. I think I was fairly polite. Said what I had to say - I got upset when you did this; I understand why you did this; I feel like this; I'm an adult like you, treat me with the respect you yourself want; I'm going to pack my stuff up next week, hope that's OK. I don't think it was negative, but then again I know my Mum has the potential to react in extreme ways without really thinking through actions properly, so now I'm worried that she's going to burn all my books or something to get back at me (I'm starting to wonder if it's bad that I love books more than people in most cases!). I'm trying to think of all the stuff that I have there that is 'precious' to me so I can reconcile with the fact that it wasn't 'that' important to me if I lose it. Anyway, all I can do is wait and see. If she decides to get pissy and throw away our relationship over this (unlikely but I suppose it could happen) then I guess the only way I can think of it is that it's sad, but her loss. No matter what I'm still going to try and be mature about it and maintain some contact (send cards etc at Christmas/birthday etc). Hmm I'm getting ahead of myself now! Shall wait and see!

And I just found out my baby brother is going interstate to work next year :o( Not that we talk much nowadays, but I'm going to miss that little guy.
