I had one just last night about my ex boyfriend. He was still pretending to care and I ran into him with another woman. Egg on my face. What a fool. I woke up early this morning with plenty of time to reflect on the dream over coffee. Whoo hoo.

Artist, that sounds more like reality!

When I was a kid, I was plagued by nightmares. In my late twenties, I went to a dream-group for a while, and made friends with my subconscious. I still had outlandish dreams, but they didn't seem scary or disturbing, but felt like a source of insight, transformation.

But since "she" disappeared with my boy, all of my dreams that I remember are nightmares. I went more than ten years without a "nightmare."I used to analyze my dreams. Now I wish I could just forget them.

Sometimes bizarre, bloody, terrifying. Sometimes, anxious, restless...searching for HIM, knowing HE is in danger. Sometimes I see HER and feel this soul crushing sadness. I hate those worst of all.
That. Maniac. Tried. To. Kill. Me.

And I still miss her. That is so sick.

I woke up from a bad dream that I don't remember because I knocked over my water glass. Then I was really thristy. I'm pretty sure the dream was about my ex because I was really sad.

Hi all, I got on the Net and found out that what I experience is called sleep paralysis. At least now I know it isn't just me who experiences this. I have it mostly when I've had a particularly stressful day, and it's a terrible experience. It's sad when we can't even sleep in peace.

how much can we read into dreams - really? I mean in my dreams we are always about to get married, but then all of these little things come up and we just smile at each other and telepathically say - maybe next time? What does that mean? I have OCD and I dream about what I want in my sleep?

I have always heard that our dreams are our subconscience telling us what we want.

Wow, wonder what that dream of George Clooney, chocolate and honey was all about then?

I have nightmares more often than not anymore. They're just about always about losing my position.

I know what it tells me. Works too important to me and I'm afraid of losing the better part of my life, but what can you do.

My Boss has made it clear I'll be promoted soon, but it doesn't stop the nightmares.

Susie

dreams - messages in code/symbolic - whispers from the 'divine'
inspirations - there are answers in our dreams!

There is one dream that I have always remembered from a long time ago, (and occassionally re-dream). I am sitting there in the wide open - surrounded by sky, don't see anything else, and a native american indian man (I believe to be either an ancestor or medicine man) appears to me. His eyes are strong and piercing, skin weathered and wrinkled, hair lightly streaked with grey, head band with a few feathers. Asks me what I want... what I seek. My answer is always the same... Heal my spirit. I wake up finding that I had been crying in my sleep. Some people believe we have multiple spirit guides or angels who help us. I wonder if he is one of mine. Funny how I've never forgotten this dream even though its from years ago.

Worried Dad, I wish you peace in your sleep...suffering during the daylight is more than enough. I don't know your whole story, but caught a glimpse in what you described in your dream. Have you tried yoga or meditation to help? I'll say a prayer for you and your boy, and for anyone who needs help.

Lewis, I agree with you. There are messages in our dreams. There are answers to the turmoil going on inside because when we sleep we have a chance to relax our minds. What we see may not be what we want - thus nightmares. But the one I had about BF, for instance, is just telling me if I did see him, then that is what it woudl feel like and I couldn't do a thing about it, so get ready.
