kathy, hmm, well... I took shower just now washed the dishes so maybe that works. What I meant was, I saw the frame of mind with which you loved yourself and I'm not familiar with that cause I'm not that good at loving myself. Ok, I'll try.

gazelle, good to see yourself open up! Make a rant journal like I have for that girl, just for yourself, hows that? It helps to write but sometimes I dont feel like checking in and thats ok. Sorry to hear too, how bad your mom is. My mom too never made me feel I was good enough, thats precisely how she was. I'm glad I dont talk to the b___ anymore. I'm angry because she met me after more than four years and started making me feel resentful again and I said - I'm not going to take this crap anymore. I had it enough for 15 years so she can go screw herself now. I told her while crying infront of the whole family that I dont want her in my life anymore. No regrets for that.

Now we're all learning to love ourselves. We'll get there..! yes.

I walked 4 kilometers today-it was about -20 out so a bit chilly but invigorating nonetheless. Oh....and I had half a slice of turtle cheescake!(yum!)

Yeah, Moms. They are a trip. My family has a lot of money but my Mom just kind of never knew I was there. Had a seamstress make my clothes out of the bed linens so she could have gowns for every day of the month and shoes to match, and her Valium, of course. But when I think back on it she was trying to deal with my Dad so I guess she did the best she could. Now she has Alzheimers and she is just a sweet little blithering idiot. Anyhoo, I think that must be why I have such a great relationship with my beautiful daughter, so guess I should thank her for something. Maybe for showing me how not to treat my daughter.

Oh my gosh. This thread was about what made me feel loved today, sorry for going somewhere else. My daughter brought me this cool coat she found at the thrift store and we figured out how to change the oil in the car.

I took ten minutes out of my day today to be silent in the beautiful warm sun. It felt sooooooo good!
