Suicide is never the answer. Suicide affects so many people, changes so many lives. God gives life, and God takes away life. I don't know if people go to hell if they kill themselves, but I do know that it is against God's will, and maybe that in itself is enough of an answer. I don't care how bad someone's life gets, it is not worth dieing for. Pray, ask Jesus Christ into your life...if you haven't already, and know that he only wants the best for you. If there is depression, there are people that are qualified to help you.
I hope you are not asking for yourself, I can tell you right now without even ever meeting you, that you are worthy simply because God made you, and as the saying goes, "God don't make no junk!" Keep writing here on this website and you mya find some support, help and assistance.

"decide not to breath and hold your breath. You will take a breath, even if you hold it till you pass out, you will take a breath, because it is not your choice".

I really like this, KW, it says so much in just a few little words.

here's my 2 cents,

I lost my fiance to suicide over 2 years ago, he suffered alcoholism and bipolar disorder both untreated.

I went to church days after his funeral and spoke with a priest and told him about the suicide, and the priest asked me if he suffered any
depression or mental illness, and I said yes, he had bipolar disorder and alcoholism....and the priest told me that my beloved is still with God, because God forgives and God knows that my fiance was not in his "right mind" when he took his own life. And I truely and firmly beleive that my Scott is with God now and in no more pain.

I know this is a touchy subject with different views, but I beleive that when my fiance took his life, he was not in a right state of mind, he was not thinking normal, and for him being disillusioned....God forgave and my fiance is safe now.

Just my opinion on this topic.

I recently just saw some show on tv that said people who committed suicide went to hell. I do not beleive that at all. I do believe it is a sin, afterall, it is murder. However, I believe in a forgiving loving God who understands us better than we do.

When a person committs suicide, they really believe there is no other way for them. I never attempted suicide, but I had several plans to do so, and so desperately wanted to follow through with it. I didnt see it as being selfish at the time because I was so beside myself with pain. The pain was so immense and undescribable that it was in control, not me. I know most strict catholics probably dont share my views, afterall, two of my great aunts are catholic nuns and I know their views are not in sync with mine. I guess we will never know until we know God beyond this world, which then might be too late. I just know that the pain that drives a person to suicide is not a "sane" feeling, if that makes sense.

Sweet Katiebug,

I have just found out that that book I mentioned to you, the author has actually a site, which is http://www.stormieomartian.com.

This book exists also under the title:
"Lord, I want to be whole" by the same author.

God bless!
