Like in three minutes?

I saw it advertised on the net but have no idea what it is. My guess is its some kind of self talk for three minutes a day. Have you heard about it?

I was watching a news report about something like it, but it's some sort of laser / electronic therapy. It's supposed to restore brain chemicals to normal rather quickly. Don't know much more than that.

Could it be called a labotamy or heart removal? I don't see how that can be good or healthy. I am "old school" even though I do enjoy many new things, technology and such. But some things we must go through to grow. OK, I know you are saying is this the same person who just aked everyone for a "hang in there"? And yes it is. But still........what dosen't kill makes us stronger. Right?

Stand up, look up, smile
Anthony robbins says you can't stay depressed doing that.
In addition to changing your physiology, change your focus.

Drink water (see "The Water Cure")

Avoid sugar (or whatever turnes into sugar in the bloodstream) and white flower. See "Sugar Blues" and whatever was written on the subject in the 3 decades that followed that book's publication.

Eat real food.
Eat "Complex" Carbhydrates, not "simple Carbs.
Avoid processed food.

Move. (in otherwords exercise)
Get Sunshine for an hour a day (SAD)

Take vital nutrients -- naturally.

Do the twelve steps (as a guide)

Get into a group.
Get real hugs, not cyber hugs.
We need the kind of socialization that our grandparents had.

Read "up from depression", and or whatever else is out there that tells you the truth about depression.
I posted an interesting article that I found on the website of a natropath about the many different causes of depression today. Look into them.

Or, if you just want to pop a pill.
Try St Johns Wort.

There's more, but i am a Codependent learning to let people do for themselves what they are perfectly capable of doing for themselves.

so, Try searching.

Affirmations,
To change your train of thinking., but that takes time and effort too.

Effort is a dirty word to so many people that it can cause depression just thinking about it, it seams.

what codi said. really really what codi said. its hard to believe when you want a bag of chips that that crap affects your mood. put crap in and it infests your pores. flush all the toxins and feed your body healthfulness. drink water, exercise, eat right, maybe a vitamin. get enough sleep. get enough time alone, balanced with time with positive people. everything Codi said.

cry. a really touching lifetime movie about people with worse problems overcoming them. expel the bad and make room for the good.

and maybe just accept that most people get depressed sometimes and it doesn't have to last.

And be careful about "Quick Fixes"
Usually it is something that keeps the control in the hands of those who make the money of this dis-ease condition.
Oftentimes, you don't hear about its side affects or near uselessness until they have made their mark (and money) and possibly hurt you and others.
The root cause is often ignored.
sometimes they touch on the root cause, but that is rare. Few have an bio-depression. It has a cause. That cause if probably in their lifestyle or social style or something else that will take effort to reverse.
Quick fixes should be temporary at best. or a last resort...like labotomies.

I keep forgetting things. I forgot to post about this 3x and now I forgot I posted this.

Tks for the responses. Hard figuring this out if no one heard of it. I like some of the advice on beating depression with a stick, that is the old fashioned way and doing the work it takes. Just think maybe this is a good thing because the guy said he was depressed and did everything before he got this 3-min thing....

Anyone else knows about it?

hugs

Well, how long does it take to say a few affirmations a few times each. I can see how maybe "self talk" done Every day could have benifit.

Remember Emile Curie "Every Day In Every Way I am Getting Better Better and Better." I heard this story decades ago. The story I was told was that he had his ill patients say that 20 times a day which resulted in marked improvement.

Try that phrase for even one minute a day and see how manotonous it gets. Most people don't stick with it long enough to see results.

Give it a try and see how you feel in...how long did he say it took?

It may cure it temporally but I think only a new mind set and techniques can make it permanent.
