This is kind of in response to a comment Ginger made on her trhead (husbands R&R) about what Mr. Wonderful looked like.

She said he looks like a Keebler Elf.

So, let's have some fun...

My Mr. Wonderful (from 20 years ago) - looked like? Antonio Banderas. Now... (well, it HAS been 20 years) he looks like Cheech Marin - complete with "chrome dome" and the belly.

Anyone else?

THAT is who I had a dream about, and it was pretty wonderful....odd I never dream about this stuff, I am ussually dreaming about the other guy!

I think women are far more accepting of what Mr. Wonderful looks like, than he is of what Mrs. Wonderful looks like...

If my guy used to look like Antonio Banderas (I wish), I'm sure I'd still love him 20 years later as Cheech.. But for some reason that doesn't seemt to work the other way around... Does it...

Personally, I'd take an Antonio, but I'd take a John Goodman too! Big teddy bear, what's not to love?!

Mr. Wonderful looks like Ricky Martin
but has to be able to do for me more than my dad would and has to realize I am an individual with my own thoughts and feeling here created on my won and not to serve anyone for any reason unless it comes from the bottom of my heart , truly ! and he needs to be able to tell me I'm beautiful not for what he physically sees but what my eyes refelct!
but he still has to look like ricky martin

No, I think the point is being missed.

The point is these men (and women on occasion) that have everyone tied up in knots - REALLY - what do they look like?

Cheech

A Keebler Elf

A frog?

What?

I love this thread! Hope we get some fun descriptions of "Mr. Wonderful"!

I couldn't walk past the cookie aisle without sniggering today...

So another Mr. Wonderful from my past, the one that really tore my heart out, the one that I affectionately refer to as Satan, people said that he looked like Tommy Lee Jones. I wouldn't go that far, but sometimes when he was slouched in front of his computer with that oily leathery skin of his and a cigarette dangling out of his mouth, I thought he looked rather like a demented turtle with a nicoteine addiction, or perhaps a kimono dragon, since I could picture him lashing out with a long forked tongue and bringing some poor fly to his premature demise. He was disgusting all the way around.

Another ex of mine who I have only fond thoughts of looked like a teddy bear. He was quite tall, pudgy, and gave terrific hugs. I hope his life turned out OK.

My last Mr. Wonderful (who called yesterday cuz I was stupid enough to email him...but that's another thread) looks a lot like the very young Al Pacino. Although when he was in jail they called him "Robert Downey Jr." as well... they share unfortunate interests and fates, but that's where the commonality lies in my eyes. I used to see the Pacino thing, but the longer you know someone, the less they look like anyone else.

The sad thing is now I see guys and will say "oh, he looks like M." Instead of the other way around.

Amazing how UNattractive these men seem when they are at their worst. I don't know why I can't remember that.

Ginger: When I was reading your post you were describing my ex to a T- maybe we were part of the same string? I doubt it though. My ex's all seem to be the rough around the edges type. Bad complexions, scraggly ass beards, and wierd hair.

I'm too cute for them!

OMG Ginger...

We have a box of "club" crackers in the cupboard - just had to laugh.

My husband is thinking I'm demented.

Mr. wonderful? I don't know. If I swung that way I guess I'd go for Uncle Ben. I like older men.

Hey Silence - you can describe women too... just a funny way of looking at how our "ultimate one" REALLY looks, once the gloss fades.

Okay, I don't mean to throw a monkey wrench into the works, but my "Mr. Wonderful" happens to be a woman so here goes.

I always call her my little shrew. If you don't know what a shrew is, do a bit of internet research. They are cute (only about the size of the end of your thumb, honest to God, I saved one from the cat once!) They are so damn hyper that they have to spend every waking moment foraging for food or they will starve to death, that's just how high their metabolism is.

My "Mr. Wonderful" is ALWAYS on the go, usually starting about 5:30am regardless of the day of the week. She can fix anything from a VCR to a car. She can cook. She loves to do artwork. She can assemble ANYTHING. She is bright and funny, can hold her own in ANY conversation. She is loving, kind, generous, and wise.

She is short with a beautiful athletic body, brown hair, and blue eyes that look like the Arizona sky when the sun breaks through after a noon time rain.

She is the most magnificent creature I have ever had the honor to know...

The two best "real" Mr(s).--though I can't call them wonderful--were very fine. One looked like Tom Selleck with straight hair instead of curly, and the other reminds me, to this day, of Keanu Reeves.

Hey Ren'ai,

No monkey wrenchs... but it's a "sarcastic" thread... or that was my intention when I started it.

You know how when you are so wrapped up into someone and you think they are just the end all be all? Then... as the relationship wans you realize "they look like that?"

Kind of like - in thinking back, I have figured that a guy that I dated waaaaaaaay back in high school - that I was sooooooo in love with? Well, he kind of looks like a turtle, now that I think about it.

Okay, I think I get it. *LOL*

One of my first ‘Loves’...

Description: Blue eyes, they were beautiful! Um, short light brown hair, almost like a soldier cut. I don't know what that style is called. He is tall; back then he was probably 5'10" or 5'11". He was a little bit chubby, but oh sooo cute! Pinchable baby cheeks! (Both sets!) *LOL* Everything else was pretty much normal about him… (Nice teeth, nice everything *wink* except for ‘nice guy’)

I wonder what he looks like now? I haven't seen him in almost 7 years. I know I was supposed to think of him cynically, and for real, I did start out writing about him in that way… But he really didn’t look so bad.

Oh! One bad thing I can say: His head was shaped like Elmer Fud from “Looney Tunes”. =) Very round, with big huge ears! OMG! (Of course when I was his girlfriend it was ‘cute’ but when I wasn’t, the show was over!) *LOL*

My Mr. Wonderful....well he's just super hot and it sucks. He's 6'3, 225 lbs, spent the last 9 years working out. Well, he sorta looks like Mr. Clean but with a thick head of wavy auburn hair and tan skin. Even his teeth are naturally straight, damit.

The only thing that isn't attractive on him is the fact that he doesn't shave as often as he should.

But he goes around wearing those "wife-beater" undershirts and he looks so dang hot. Even my Mom said he would make gorgeous babies.

Grrrrrr.

My husband on the other hand looks like....samwise gamgee. 😛

Well, as most of you know, I am a tad older, but, my dream guy wouldn't have anything to do with looks at all. Have any of you ever met someone that really wasn't attractive in the least? And then you get to know them, and, oddly enough, you find them amazingly attractive? Well, that is how it would be with me, I am sure. One time at a party, I was talking to a gentleman...another lady's husband...and I, too, am married, but what a connection I felt. Not sexual, but we could talk. I mean more than fragmented sentences! And what fun it was! We talked antiques, theatre, hobbies, books, and we could have gone on and on. I do love my husband, but how I wish that we could relate like that. So, for some of you reading this, while my marriage has lasted and will continue, and I do love the man as does he me (I presume!) Be real sure of what you are getting and that it is what you need and want. I have friends and family whose husbands are very "in touch" with them all the time and these particular women resent it. They would rather be left alone. I, on the other hand, would love to have someone to talk to and share with...more than the basics, because my hubby and I do talk. It's just that it is so "formal." And he is a man of few words. We can cover an entire topic in 10 sentences or less. So advice for the day from the old bag here...don't settle. Wait til you find exactly what you want/need. And, if you don't, well, there's worse things than alone. Bangles

I dated an Adrian Brody, a Robert Downey Jr., and a David Spade. They all dumped me. At this point, I would settle for a Wilford Brimley - Grapenuts and all!!!
