Rev,

You are going to love it!

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, I've been sick as a dog with a bad cold and haven't been back until right now. Speaking of dogs- my poor little Annie dog is sick with Lyme disease. 🙁

Enjoy your reading,
Sis

PAULO COHELO, HE IS A GREAT AUTHOR, OF BOOKS WITH MESSAGETO HEAL THE SPIRIT.

ANOTHER ONE IS CARLOS CUAHUTEMOC SANCHEZ, AND GIBRAN JALIL, DEEPAK CHOPRA, AND EMILIO SALGARI.

literature is one of the most enjoyable pleasures in life, because it opens a pathways to worlds we have never known, but always wanted to meet...

Two of the most important books that I have recently read are

(1) Life Lessons: Two Experts on Death & Dying Teach Us about the Mysteries of Life and Living by Elisabeth Kubler-Ross. It is an outstanding work!

(2) The Gift of Fear: Survival Signals that Protect Us from Violence by Gavin de Becker. This book could save your life. It was recommended by the security section where I work. Read it to protect you and your family!

de Becker speaks of domestic violence as "a long slow crime." There is a very helpful chapter for anyone in a physically abusive relationship.

My favorite passage from the book:

"No is a word that must never be negotiated, because the person who chooses not to hear it is trying to control you." p. 62

To Isis, who recommended "Secret Life of bees" THANK-YOU!!!!

I bought it last week, due to my own silliness I ended up in hospital last night (My fault, wearing bad shoes!!!) and this book just saved the day for me!! Couldn't sleep and read it all night...I love it! To those who haven't read it...go get it, its lovely, sad, endearing and heart-warming, beautifully written!

Rev.

Rev,

That's great, I'm so happy you liked it. What a great read it was! I especially loved the "sisterhood" theme that ran throughout the story.
It had such a mystical feel about.

Keep on reading,
Isis

Left to Tell, by Immaculee Iligabiza, a Tsutse woman whose family was savagely murdered in the Rwanda genocide in the 1990's.

She was hidden with 7 other women in a 4 by 3 bathroom for 3 months. She lost nearly half her body weight. She taught herself English while in that bathroom!! Her prayers and her faith sustained her. Her survival is just an incredible lesson in faith for all of us.

She is now involved in helping the orphans and others in Rwanda, and is also appearing with Wayne Dwyer and has been on Oprah, telling her story.
