I am not work, at my computer, obviously, listening to one of the few radio stations I can get to come in clearly. I'm not really sure what this kind of music is called. I want to say pop rock. music from the nineties and later

While I work? Something soft, perhaps even just instrumental, in the background. I have to concentrate too much with my work. Actually, any kind of background noise while I transcribe is a bit irritating to me. It's like it pulls my brain in two different directions (and didn't I have enough of THAT last year?!? lol ). I guess I'm just getting to the age where it's getting more and more difficult to walk and chew gum at the same time.

Now, when I'm NOT working, I like a variety of music, probably mostly the oldies station, 50s and 60s stuff. I guess I'm a doowop girl at heart. 🙂 However, that being said, I do have my moments when I like to rock out a bit with some Led Zeppelin, Doors, Stones, that sort of thing. I also, sometimes, like to hear music from the early 70s, when I was in high school, but, gee, I guess those are now on the oldies station too... hmmm... I also like harp music (I took lessons for a while) and some of the Celtic music as well. Like I said, pretty much all over the map.

whidbey...I am a big stones fan! Most of the music I like is from the 60's and 70's, but I like all all sorts...I'm not really a pop-girl, although I was born in 1974 so all of the music I like was before my time...dunno why I got into it!

Nothing like the Rollin' Stones "Gimme Shleter" on full volume in the car to really get me energised!

OMG, Rev, you were born the year I graduated high school! lol Yeah, too bad ex-N was such an ass. I probably could have met some of those folks. I did meet a couple of the guys from the Doors and Pat Travers. Travers was a hoot.

whidbey...you are never to old to be a rock-chick!!!!!
Pat Travers...I know who you are talking about, but my mum's next door neighbour is called Pat Travers, so when I see the name I picture Pat next door, a lively bouncy woman of about 65 with greying hair and big bosoms!!!!

Do you like Jimi Hendrix as well? I always loved the song "Little Wing" my Dad used to sing it to me when I was little...my ex said it reminded him of me so he used to play it on his guitar when he wanted to butter me up!!!

Pat Travers with big bosoms! lololol Pat had us howling one afternoon with a story about meeting Davy Jones one time. It involved nose hairs. That's all I'll say. It was hilarious.

Yes, Rev, there's a lot of Hendrix that I like. My ex used to tour with him too, back in the day. Also, Led Zeppelin (who, at first actually use to open for ex's group), and many, many more. I never knew any of this until after I got to know him. I wonder if it ever bothered ex-N that I really didn't know who he was until after I started seeing him again this last time. Even then, it didn't really matter to me. I'm just not a big music groupie. Most of what I know about him now is because I looked things up this time around.

I'm now calling my last year and go-round with ex-N as "My Year of Living Dangerously." But... this is off topic, so I'll stop now. 🙂

exoticflower,

thanks for asking!

If I had a choice I would listen to some soft music as background at work.

I do like this type of music though that I am listening to now.

I love the acid rock period of music. That was my heyday. I could never get enough of 'purple haze' by jimmy hendrix. I love all the music from that period.

I was a huge Beatles fan starting when they first appeared on the ED Sullivan show in 1963. I was 13 years old and fell madly in-love with paul McCartney. he was soooo cute!!!! I still love the Beatles music. They hold a special place in my heart.

And then there's Elvis Presley. I love the way he sings.

There are a lot of oldies from the 1950's and early 60's that I continue to enjoy hearing.

I like new age music to calm me down and meditate to.

I like some classical music like chopin.

I hate, absoutely hate rap musci!!
