My husband and I did our taxes about 2 weeks ago and we got the money directly deposited into our bank account. We with state and fedral combined got around 6000 dollars. That is about how much we pay for rent in a year so we are paying rent with ours so that we could get a van and our van payment is only 310 which is 170 less than our rent. So not only are we paying rent and a van payment but we have $170 more every month. What are the rest of you doing?

For now, I'm leaving mine in the bank. I'm trying to sell my house and may need it for closing costs. If not, I will probably buy a couple of appliances and keep the rest in the bank to support myself with for the next few months in case my child support payment stop. My kid's father is going to be collecting unemployment soon.

thats awsome to have things that you are going to do with it. In the past I just went on a spedning spree. While fun the money doesnt last long and you are still in debt.

I only have about $250 or so coming.

I am looking to go to one of these places here in Atlanta and get a custom bra fitted (maybe about $100 or so.)

With what is left over - I think that I will get a massage and anything else that I can afford.

In any event - it's going to be about me, me ME for once.

Something that I desperately need to look forward to!!!!!!

Or maybe go to the beach for a long week-end.

Fun deciding anyway 🙂

Going to Nordstroms to buy my woman something and taking her out for a special dinner night and spending an awesome weekend with her.She deserves every bit of it. We have known each other for 26 yrs, but just got together at our 20yr highschool reunion 5 months ago. Then I will come home and pay bills and buy a truck if I have money left over.

I try REALLY REALLY hard to adjust my exemptions so that I get the money up front in my check each month. I hate letting the government have my money all year, when I could be paying bills and saving. Why should they earn interest on MY money? So, I haven't filed yet, and I hope I don't get much back at all. I also hope I don't OWE anything!!!

I always get a chunk back...I could get more back weekly, in my pay, BUT I am not diligent about saving it, and the money always comes at the peak of heating fuel season, so I know I have something to fall back on if I run out of money for heat.

If heating season is easy on me, then I plan to pay down some of my bills.

TRUTH...about the fitted bras.

I am a large size woman and was embarrassed to get measured for a bra, tho every mall store offered it.

So, one day I was shopping with my mom and the lady offered to measure my mom, seeing we were having such difficulty finding the right size.

So, mom turns red, but says why not...and heads for dressing room.

Mom starts pulling up her shirt and lady says no, stay dressed.

ALL THIS TIME we thought we had to be nekid.

Anyway, seeing how easy it was, I got measured too.

And THANK GOD I did...cuz all this time I was wearing the wrong size.

And the store (lane bryant) had a sale going on, and I got 200 dollars worth of bras for 100 dollars. I was thrilled...and felt so much more confident.

It's worth the money.

a good bra is worth whatever money it takes. I wish I could spend 10. to get one that is comfortable and has the right support for me (38DD) I usually have to pay a pretty price.

I am between a DDD and a DD, so yeah, I have to pay for good ones.

some day I will lose enough weight to get into a normal walmart size.

but I will tell you...it's WORTH the money to spend on a good one...I make sure I don't dry it in the dryer, although I do wash them in the machine....but they fit and STAY NICE for a long time....my walmart ones used to crap out after six months or so.

Awww, I feel so small, I am only a 34 B. I can't even fill out a bikini. I don't wear a bra half the time. I wish I had a little more, but make do with what I have. Anyway, I am got around one thousand back and it is going to be for my honeymoon in may.

You know ladies, there is a special washing apparatus manufactured by Woolite I have.

It's a "double-decker" zipper kind of round thing that you put your bra(s) into and throw it into the gentle cycle.

Then unzip it and let it hang dry.

Works great!!!!!

🙂

I'm with you Jewel.....34B...and I have to admit....I love them.

Anyway....with my tax refund I think I am going to spend the money to have my front tooth fixed.

I had a root canal on it some time ago and it has since discolored. I have changed dentists since then and for some reason my insurance company won't pay for the crown...stating that there is not "significant enough trama or decay" to justify covering it.

Ok-ay then. It is fractured from the gum line down and has had a root canal...rendering it dead. IT CANNOT BE MORE TRAMATIZED!!!!!! But whatever.

Therefore, it has to come out of my own pocket.

So, I thinks I'll be buying me a new front tooth .
