In the case of Internet explorer, close all programs or minimize their screens.

You see the icon on your screen on the destop?

Right click on it and you will get a pull down menu. High light "Properties" and release.

You will get a mini window that says "Internet Properties"

It has some tabs at the top that say "General, Security, Privacy..." and so on. Stay on the front one, the "General" tab.

You will see where it says "browsing history?" Delete temporary files, history, cookies, saved passwords, etc... click on delete and you can select one or all things to delete.

Remember you are deleting the same for who ever uses the computer and they will wonder why they can't simply type in the beginning of a url and get the whole thing. But tough luck. Better than they know your business.

On AOL (and I'm sure other ISP programs) there are other things you can do too. But I don't know if your info is shared with other screennames. At anyrate you go to settings, under "I" Internet options... and you get a screen that says "Clear my footprints"

I have to do both things, erase history in IE and clear footprints to get rid of all "evidence." I live alone so it's not that much of a problem. Let me know if this helps or not.

Hi, Ella, Euq, on my Internet Explorer version I click on the History icon, when it appears, I simply choose the site I want to delete, right clicking on it and choosing erase or delete or exclude (I have a German version). You can erase even documents!

Mine is not that advanced. I guess it would help knowing more about what euqcaj is using.

thank you! I will print this info, I hope, and will play with it. I guess I just need to have something of my own, a place of my own. And I'm thinking of changing "my name", it's too obvious,.....I know my husband wants to be everything to me and he honestly tries, there are just some things I know he doesn't have the time of day for, and understandably, he's busy with things of the "now", but I feel there are spiritual things and emotional things that I need to care for and that's what I get from this site. So I probably will change my name,.......
