My mother just passed away in March. Now I think my dad has alzheimers. Scared. He flooded the house today. He was very mixed up. Didn't know where to turn the water off at. The water pipe broke at ten this morning and he didn't call me until three this afternoon. It is so sad. I am so sad.

Oh, katarina, I know the sadness, something else i can't describe, that i and my mother felt when we realized that my grandmother had alzheimers and that she had not been doing as well as we had thought living alone, saving her best hours of her day for her interactions with us. i don't know what to say to you other than you are not alone

hi Katarina, sorry for the sadness you are going thru...is there anyway that you can spend more time with your dad??? or maybe have a visiting nurse come by and check up on your dad more often???

katarina

I'm so sorry for your loss. I also lost my mother. I found the most awesome grief websight to get me through. Its called webhealing.com.
I hope this helps.

(((Katarina))))

Do you have other siblings? You will need to help decide if your father is still able to remain alone and at home. His safety is highest priority. I can understand why losing your mom is still painful for all of you. My best to you. You will get through this. I have faith that you will be loving and kind and helpful.
