hello. I have a dilemma that I need advice. here goes. I cheated on my husband with his best friend. Big surprise. I know it happens more than people know. I told my husband as soon as it happened and he forgave me and said he understood.Anyways, this cheating happened almost a year ago and since then we have moved away from where his friend lives and where we grew up all our lives. Another important piece to add is that my husband also worked with his friend at one time and now my husband currently got offered a job back at the place where his friend also works and has accepted it.
My concern is where do we go from here and how do we deal with all that has happened. I have been very depressed for the past 8 months and am scared that if we move back things will get worse for our relationship which we are starting to rebuild again. My husband does not talk much about the whole situation and I have suggested that we see a counselor because he also has issues with his parents who live where we are going to move back to which affects our relationship also. The main question and concern is, what would you do in this situation?

I would honor your husband openly. Remember reading The Scarlet Letter in school? sort of wear your "A" for him to see - make sure he knows you are doing it for him. He's forgiven you - right? He just wants it to never happen again.

are you going to be in contact with his friend? Does he still talk to that friend? It might work if he has a civil relationship with his friend but that's it...no after-work parties, no chance where you three have to be in the same area...just keep the relationship on a surface level. Also, the counseling thing is probably the only thing that would keep your relationship on a healthy level. Especially going back and dealing with parent issues. i wish you the best of luck!

Sounds like to much stuff to go back to, and I wouldn't do it on shakey ground, work things out first.
