I have had to come to grips with the fact that there may be a possiblity that I fail one of the classes I am taking and have to retake it next semester which may push my graduation back a bit. I am pissed but trying to accept it all and take it with stride. I am scared but relieved that I have been able to accept this. I am going to find out today probably. I emailed my professor and asked if there was any way to salvage my grade. Wish me luck.

loverbee,

Hopefully your professor will give you a break. After all, you cared enough to contact him and your tried. People where I go generally get F's only if they don't show, don't try. Believe me, its not easy for a professor to give a student an F. Several have told me that.

This has been my week of finals. Studying, to school back and forth, checking in her a whole lot, and generally stressed out. Two more easy things to do finals wise on Thursday and Friday. Then........DONE.

Nope, not off to Hawaii. I've been to Oahu. It really is such a relaxing, happy place. I am so looking forward to seeing friends, getting my home in order, and working on some things that are my own idea, not about school. Going to help out a friend who is having surgery right before Christmas too during that week while her boyfriend is gone. Nice long school break ahead, but I am sure I will be happy and ready for another semester soon. I feel so blessed that I figured out how to go to school later in life and am doing it.

I am so ready to take a deep breath of relief and relax. Friday is going to happen soon!!

You know, I am beginning to think that it is ok if I fail it. I can always clep test out of something to make up the credits and that is what I am going to do if need be. I think I deserve at least a B on the paper I did and I feel as though maybe the problem is that everyone has told me he is a really harsh grader. I don't care. I think I tried my best given the circumstances of going through a breakup after six years during this semester and that it is out of my control at this point. Good luck to me but I am not going to stress that much. Or at least try not to.

I am going to give you the best advice I have ever given anyone. When writing a paper, you should make an outline first. I am not talking about a general outline, I am talking a detailed paragraph by paragraph outline. Look at what you want each paragraph to talk about, develop your thesis statement and find all the quotes you are going to use for each paragraph. Once that is done, all you have to do is make it eloquent. I just finished a fifteen page term paper and I think I did ok as long as my teacher isn' t a dick about grading.

Hey all!!! Mind if I join in. I am done with the semester finally. I had to write a 15 page research paper too and think that I did pretty well. I should have prepared earlier for it and gave myself more time, but I am usually pretty good with english. It is algebra that is hard for me. I am worried about possibly getting a c. That would be a nightmare for me.

I am just curious what everyones majors are? I will go first. Mine is in accounting. I am good with numbers and can't wait to learn how to do taxes. I am taking all my elective classes right now so it is going to be awhile before I start taking my accounting classes. I am still at the comm. college. I plan on tranferring when I am done there. Good luck to all with the exams and papers!! It will be great once it is over...until next semester.

I am a psych major and I graduate in may. However, after I get my bachelors degree in psych I am going to pursue a culinary career. I now have completed all my psych requirements and all I need is credits but the required classes I have already taken so it is getting a bit tedious. Good luck with all.

Hi Jewel,

I should be studying for my exam tonight...but being the procrastinator that I am......

I am working on my Associates degree in Social Work at the local Community College. I'd like to go on to get my Master's degree but I still don't know exactly what I want to do as a career. I've been thinking either Substance Abuse Counseling or teaching at the Community College level.

I'm only half way through to my associates so Lord knows, I've got plenty of time to decide.

Good luck to all of you on your finals/papers.

Love,
Lolli

I got an a in my advanced comp. class. A 98%. My 15 page research paper I got a 98% which was worth half my grade in the class. I am so excited. All my hard work paid off. I still don't know what I got on my math final. THat is making me kind of nervous, but it is what it is.

I hope I got that good a grade on my research paper. I am so nervous. So I haven't heard back from my professor yet but then again in the fifteen times I have emailed him he has never responded with any kind of help or offered his help. So I am not holding my breath. I am just going to try SOOOOOO hard on the final exam. That is going to be my big chance to pass the class.

Hi guys,

I'm happy to report that I aced my final tonight....YAY!!!!

BUT...I didn't get my grade for my paper. He hasn't even read them yet. I can't even tell you how much I hate that.

I am going to e-mail him next week to try to get my grade, but considering I just got the return receipt the other day for an e-mail I sent him in SEPTEMBER....chances are I'm never going to find out.

Did I mention how much I hate that?

Good job Lolli!!!!!!! Hurray, hard work pays off. I hope you hear soon about your paper. Waiting is the hardest part. It is such a relief to know whether you do good or bad.

Loverbee,

Did you hear anything yet about your paper? Hopefully you do well. What is it about? Same for you lolli. What did you have to write about.

I had to write a paper about the ineffectiveness of spanking. It was really fun to write and really well researched and no I haven't heard anything back about it yet.

Hi Jewel,

My paper was for my Marriage and Family class and the topic was "why women stay in abusive relationships".

As I mentioned before, he didn't read the last e-mail I sent him for 3 months.....so I have a feeling I am never going to find out what I got.

Too bad too....Kroika wanted me to post some of my paper, and me lacking confidence the way I do, was waiting to see what my teacher thought before I decided if I was going to post it or not. I hate to disappoint her, but I don't see it happening.

Anyway....good luck to you all on finals.
