I usually use midol or pamprin menstrual formula. They have max. strength.

Beyond that - the heating pad is my best friend when I am injured and hurting.

If you are at work or not where you can have a heating pad...take a wet towel, microwave it for a minute or two...and apply it where needed.

Also, if you get a nylon sock (like a dress sock/trouser sock) and fill it with rice and microwave it, you can get warm heat too....get aromatic rice tho, otherwise it gets a stinky smell to it. You can reuse this many times. And if purchased at dollar store, you can have it for two bucks.

Drink lots of water too - sometimes cramping is from constipation or dehydration...stay hydrated.

I am having cramping too...but for different reasons...lol...and the heating pad is my BESTEST friend...he's great to sleep with at night...on low of course.

Yeah its pms and I am just pissed cause I get to have pms and then they continue when I actually get my period. Did the heating pad thing. I think I am going to go running for a bit in about fifteen and then see if a hot bath helps.

I take motrin and then a hot bath. This seems to take care of the cramps and slow the flow down.

Sex helps! If that's part of your life already... (the orgasm is what flushes out the uterus and helps relieve the cramping- layperson's theory, my experience too).

Unfortunately for me, it is not right now. So I am just glad I have my I.U.D. I used to have debilitating cramps and miss work, etc... when I got my I.U.D., it made my period extremely light and my cramps barely there. Some months I feel them, but NOTHING like in the past. This is an extreme step to take, it is birth control of course.

Unfortunately I am single right now and although there have been times where, yes my ex and I have hooked up (we broke up on mutual terms and still love eachother very much but we are trying to make ourselves as individuals first), but he is in NY right now and I am not going to see any guys really for the next nine days. Oh well though. Normally I don't have this bad of cramps so I guess I am just havin a hard time this time. But I am sure it won't be that bad from now on.

I think one could get the effects of the orgasm ella suggests WITHOUT a guy, actually.

There must be a ton of yoga poses that would help, too. Hope the run helps. Anything that "exercises" your "core", you know?

Hope you get some relief soon.

Ok, loverbee-

Well I certainly wouldn't recommend hooking up w/ex to alleviate cramps! But there is always the alternative of working on this yourself... ;). (See masturbation thread on libs for any conflicts).

feel better.

The adhesive or wrap around heating pads work great.

I usually put one on and then go about my day.

They say to only wear it for about 8 hours, but I have left mine on for longer.

And you can wear it under clothes so that no one else sees it.

I feel better today. I am just going to have to make sure that I keep up with my workout because that seems to be alleviating the cramps for the most part. Also, hot tea. That and a butt load of will and grace. haha.
