No problem can be solved until an individual assumes responsibility for solving it.
By avoiding responsibility you prevent yourself from growing spiritually.
Alter the perspective from which you look at your life, and new possibilities will open up.

Everyone accepts guidance please add to this thread with your words.

My house burned to the ground,
but now I can see the moon.

Cracked Pot

A water bearer in China had two large pots, each hung on the ends of a
pole, which he carried across his neck. One of the pots had a crack in it,while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water.

At the end of the long walk from the stream to the house, the cracked
pot arrived only half full. For a full two years this went on daily, with the bearer delivering only one and a half pots full of water to his house.

Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments, perfect for
which it was made. But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own
imperfection, and miserable that it was able to accomplish only half of what it had been made to do.

After 2 years of what it perceived to be a bitter failure, it spoke to
the water bearer one day by the stream.

"I am ashamed of myself, and because this crack in my side causes water
to leak out all the way back to your house."

The bearer said to the pot, "Did you notice that there were flowers only
on your side of the path, but not on the other pot's side? That's because I
have always known about your flaw, and I planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back, you've watered them.

For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to
decorate the table. Without you being just the way you are, there would not be this beauty to grace the house."

Moral: Each of us has our own unique flaws. We're all cracked pots. But
it's the cracks and flaws we each have that make our lives together so very interesting and rewarding.
You've just got to take each person for what they are, and look for the
good in them.

Sorry I can't quote who wrote thisrom because I don't know but I like it. Hope you do to.

Impatience drives us on, and is apt to drive us over our goal without us noticing.

Put off your anger until you can't find a reason to be angry.

All things comes to she/he who has patience.

Never underestimate yourself, for the world will insist on taking you at face value.

Next time you are greeted with "How do you do?" Consider your response; the rest of your life hinges on it.

There are those who go through life impatiently waiting for something to happen so that they can start living. And there are those that accept each day as a precious and original gift to be enjoyed.

Don't wish your life away. Impatience is the enemy of tranquility. Pleasure denied remains pleasure sought.

I wish to us all a "wonderful today!"

On being yourself.

Learn that you cannot be loved by all people. You can be the finest apple in the world, ripe, juicy, sweet, succulent and offer yourself to all, but you must remember that there will be some people who do not like apples.

Understand that if you are the world's finest apple and someone you love does not love apples you have a choice of trying to become a banana.

But be warned that if you choose to become a banana you will be a second rate banana but you will always be the finest apple.

Also realise that if you choose to become a second rate banana, there are people who do not like bananas.

Furthermore, you can spend your lifetime trying to become the best banana, which is impossible if you are an apple or you can seek again to become the finest apple.

When all else falls away, it doesn't matter where you live or how much money you have.
Age is irrelevant- peace is not the preserve of the elderly or sedate.
It doesn't interest me what you do for a living, it is how you conduct yourself while you do it that counts.

Make peace not only your goal, but also your way of living.
Care less for your harvest than how it is shared, and your life will have meaning and your heart will have peace.
To withhold is to wither.

Thank you all for sharing I believe it is important to read one anothers inspiring words while we travel through our journey of life.

Smile all the time, cause when you smile you physically cannot feel sad.

Be kind to people, it feels better to get a "Thank You" then a "Your Welcome."

Love your Parents cause they Love you with their Whole Heart.

"See" everything, everyday, you might miss what your Guardian Angel is trying to show you.

"Live" each day as if it were your last. It's a Cliche but it is the truth.

"Listen" deep from within, you might miss the lesson you are trying to be taught.

"Love" with your whole heart, knowing it's ok to cry when it ends, a broken heart is only temporary while a heart that is loved, lasts forever.
