Good Morning dear Friends 🙂
Just wanted to stop in and let you know what I am doing.

I have decided that I have been living a placebo life. I decided that everything I was doing was because of someone else's wishes and not my own. I decided to take my power back and start enjoying life again.

It's working! I feel lots better all ready, taking each moment and enjoying it for what it is.

I put in my notice at work....because I want a career that suits my tastes and preferences for living life. I have the pressure of two weeks to figure this out and create a career that employs my own talents of organization, motivation, Courage, Strength, and working alone. I have a few ideas but nothing concrete.

I am getting divorced. I moved out on Friday. I love my husband but we are unable to communicate effectively and only hurt each other. It is amicable this time. I am not filled with anger or blame. Just acceptance of the reality.

Today, I have assembled a shelving unit for my bathroom. I mastered the art of reading instructions, using the proper tools, and having lots of failures before I reached my final success. It is liberating to feel empowered to take charge of ones feelings, and life. It is just a moment at a time.
God Bless Us All.

Hi mj, I just read you post and I feel pleased for you - when I divorced my first husband thirteen years ago I remember that feeling of satisfaction as I took charge of paying my own bills, and looking after my own property - he had never allowed me to know anything about the household finances.

The thing that struck a chord as well was putting up shelves. I have long done a bit of carpentry but those self assembly units? like being on another planet.

Sorry by the way - I noted you comment about my print on the other thread but in the end I just had to get it back - and I'm glad! One small step etc.....

Anyway mj, I wish you all the best, happiness & strength on your journey.

Kx

After a week...I am starting to feel depressed. I am fighting my depression and know that I just need to let it go and be in the moment.

Grieving the loss of dreams is the hardest for me.

I am not sure what I need to feel better.

Sweet dreams mj. Hopefully things will look better for you tomorrow. I'm still having bad days where the depression comes back but they are getting fewer and fewer. More good days than bad. I'll be around tomorrow if you need to talk. Try and get some sleep, that always helps me.

mj

T know that feeling of being able to do something myself, whether it's installing a lignt in the track lighting or fixing a drawer in my son's room or haning a drape...and believe me those are huge achievements for me!

You are taking care of yourself for now and that is fabulous. The next choice you make in a love relationship will be better and more suited to your soul's journey I am sure.

When you are coming from a position of wholeness, as you certainly are now...you will be amazed at the love that flows in... this is not the end....this is the beginning of an exciting journey and adventure. (AT least it was for me after I got divorced. It was amicable. We held hands in front of the judge as we parted...but the parting was really necessary for both of our souls' growth.

Much love and respect and positive thought flowing your way. May you be blessed in every way possible on your journey.

Meg

Have a good one today! Each new day we have another opportunity to create what we want in our lives, thankfully.

I feel more sane today after getting some rest. I want to do the work on me and keep focused on what I can change in myself.

I want to be able to say what I mean.
Yesterday I had a couple of successes. I spoke up and asked for compensation for the extra hours I will be putting in next week at work. It was freeing.

I said NO to my husbands invitation.

I listened.

I feel lots better this morning.

Good for you, mj. I don't know about you, but for me it helps to put down successes in my journal so I can later refer to them for encouragement. It also helps to reward myself in some way, preferably more than just a pat on the back, but at least that much.
