codred,

And I apologize for saying something that hurt or offended; Really didn't want to do that. I am sometimes not thoughtful about how my quick respones sound a bit harsh.

I guess I react like that when folks try and apply a belief system that may rule some out. The thing I forget it how passionate folks get about religion.

Please accept my apology and I will take my on advice and "knock it off!" My apology is also extended to anyone else who felt this was out of line.

codred -

You did nothing wrong. You were unaware that any references to spiritual beliefs are forbidden on "Support Threads." And I deeply appreciated your posting which I have moved to the "Liberation Brew Threads" side.

Please don't feel the need to apologize. You did get jumped pretty hard, but remember that you are dealing with alot of codependents in varying stage of recovery on these threads...so some occasional "overreacting" is to be expected.

Deep breath. Keep posting. You are welcome on these threads.

Ma,

If you want to send a message to me then say it to me.... your reference to "jumping pretty hard" and, "overreacting", tied in with a judgement call, "codependents in varying stages of recovery", feels a bit preachy; I suppose that is what started this whole thing... some dramatic statement about blood shed.

Let's not cast stones.

Cored
It's okay we all have to learn. It took me weeks to really figure out how the site worked lol...

But i think it was very sweet of you to send MA a prayer request.

She is really a great and wise woman.

Her posts are always so great!

Geez-o-flip...Caraway. TRUCE, eh?

She did get jumped...and yes, many of us on these threads acknowledge that we are recovering codependents in various stages of recovery. How does that constitute "preaching?" I don't hear anything religious in that observation.

Codred was simply unfamiliar with the anti-spirituality reference rules for this side of the threads. And I would not want to see Codred feel intimidated or afraid to continue posting because of it.

None of us post in the "right spirit" or with the right motivation all the time. We are HUMAN. All of us. I am no exception. Neither are you.

Didn't want to single you out by name because I felt the important issue was to help Codred regain the confidence to continue posting, rather than shut down...not challenge you personally for a faux pas ANY OF US could have (and probably HAVE) committed.

Ma- Codred titled the thread with your name. I find some of the responces abusurd. Some have nothing better to do with their time then to find any excuse to go out of their way to give others a hard time here. The more unmanagemable someones life is the more they need to control others.

I thik that it is very supportive of Codred to take her time to send some positive energy your way.

You know, Destiny, it really is permitted here for many people to participate on all the threads. That's the way it's set up. People can post where they want and what they want and when they want to.

Just because someone puts a nickname in a thread title doesn't make it exclusive - like you can post to StronginHim in a thread made to apologise to Caraway. I can post to you, and none of that is against guidelines. Nor is it absurd.

Bevdee,

Thanks. I just didn't want to go down the Religion trail agian. I am shocked to see the last comment posted by Destiny, "Shalome", first I am called "abusurd" for posting on a thread directed to someone else, and then a reference to the fact that I am Jewish. I think the comment was intended to as a message and one that I understand only too well.

I think the time has come for me to accept that this is not a site A. For non-Christians B. For Men (Gay Men) especially.

Caraway,

Please don't let the comments of a few, dissuade you from posting here. You are truly a valued poster here (as are all men(gay or straight)). One's religious beliefs are totally irrelevant here.

I look forward to reading more from you.

Hey Caraway,

I gave up on this site being much more than mainstream. I see a lot of siding with each other when people are of the same religious mindset. I've sen that happen here a lot of times, and usually it's not the new ones, it's the same people over and over. You have to take it with a grain of salt.

Sometimes Libs is a safer place to hang out - sometimes.

Cary,
I remember times you have given me kind and gentle support. I am a Christian and also female and heterosexual, and I value your posts and your presence here. Just so you know.

I have had to take several breaks from this site and the first time I took a break I thought it was the last time I would visit. I understand that you have been coming here for a long time so maybe it really is your last time. I don't want to put any pressure on you whatsoever, especially since you have been so kind to me. But It's okay to change your mind, just in case you do.

My very best wishes to you (((((cary))))).

Do what you gotta do.

Just know that my thoughts and positive light and warm energy are always with you and hope to envelope you in a blanket of safety that you so well deserve.........and will weather you against ANY storm which may come your way.

(((((((Caraway)))))))

It was a sincere pleasure to know you.
