RW:

I so know that feeling. You have to pick yourself up by the bootstraps and not give into the tiredness. You can do this.

Exercise is good. Meditation and reading your good book are also very good. Take the time to spend w/ him each day. It makes a whole world of difference.

It's a battle you have to overcome when you get to the point of tiredness all the time. Put on your armour and fight. Don't give in.

Hi there -

When I was tired of being so tired I decided to get a complete physical.

It turns out that I had an underactive thyroid condition which
is now kept in control by taking an inexpensive thyroid replacement medication.

I was tired for 3 years. People kept telling me that I was depressed after the death of someone I was very close to. I wish that I had gone to the doctor sooner as I feel that I lost 3 years of my life to tiredness.

I have know other people who had complete physicals done when they were "tired of being so tired."
Some of their test results came back saying that they had diabetes, mononucleosis, epstein barr, sleep disorders, depression.

Get a physical as soon as you can so that you don't waste any more of your life away.

Take care,

Feather

On the other hand, depression can as a result of co-dependent relationships can CAUSE physical ailments...sometimes it's not bad doctors but that the depression is causing a number of ailments or just one particular ailment.

I so know the felling of being "TIRED or being tired!"

I also started exercising at curves.. I loved it! There was only women there. Because I wasn't allowed to go somewhere where there were also men... But, anyways, I felt so much better. I was energized when I get home.. It helped me think better also.

I was still tired of all the BS I was going through with my husband, but atleast I felt better about how I looked and how I had more energy..

I went with another co-worker right after work. My husband was afraid to tell me "NO" cuz it would have gotten back to my work place what an AS#hole he was. So I had freedom for 1hr.

Go and get energized at any gym, or go for walks with your dog in the morning or after dinner.

Besides getting rid of your "problem relationship" this IS a help to being tired... Hope this helped.. Good luck. If you find a better way, please let me know also. 🙂

Hi Random,

I can identify as well. I was carrying a few extra pounds (about 10) for the last 2 years or so. I wasn't really eating right, and I was also anemic. My ex would get mad because I would fall asleep at 9:30 every night, and it was so hard to get up in the morning. I really started watching my diet, and working out extra hard, doing hard-cardion like the stair climber and the elliptical trainer. I lost the 10 pounds, gained a lot of muscle, and through diet, was able to get rid of my anemia. It took me about 4 months altogether. I hope this helps.

I was talking about this with my therapist last night. I am constantly emotionally and mentally exhausted. It has a lot to do with coping with abuse, at least for me, as I am unfamiliar with your situation.

I think for most people who have been through a lot - you have so much in your "emotional filing drawer" as she said, that there is a constant drain on your energy. If you try to distract yourself adn don't attend to your issues, you can end up with permanent health problems.

Just a thought. When I left my session yesterday I was shaking and I didn't stop until like 3 hours later after I talked to my boyfriend on the phone.

Hi! i usually don't read/post on "unfamiliar" threads but yours caught my eye. I, too, am tired. I think a lot of it the stress and anxiety. I, too, started exercising at Curves. While I honestly don't have more energy, (I wish I would) when I exercise, my mental state seems better. I feel stronger...more able to cope. Someone told me that exercise releases endorphines and that causes us to feel better. Whatever it is, i do feel happier after when I am involved in an exercise program. Sadly, I probably have more energy than I would if I didn't exercise! Hate, then, to even think of the alternative as I'm still pretty tired! Bangles

when i was tired of being tired, I went to the dr obsessively until he finaly asked me if I had talked with my therapist in awhile! lol.. I thought for sure there was something "wrong" with me, well there was, emotional stress, I was soo depressed, I am coming around now though "I think" just hang on there is light at the end of the tunnel. exercise is a great way to overcome this. even though i had no energy to even do that soooo..your a step or two from where i was. I had to hit my rock bottom before I could start climbing back up.
