It is heartening to see people really reaching out to try and help each other, thank you all in advance for that....

I discovered through therapy 3 years ago that I had repressed memories of my childhood sexual abuse...This was triggered by finding out about one of my wife of 15 year's sexual indescretions (she too is a sexual abuse victim)

I am still struggling with all the isolation, sadness and "other junk" that comes with this....

Please, someone tell me that it gets better...I dont want to be tired alone and sad anymore...

Thanks

I think it can and will get better...but you have to be the catalyst in that process.

I would think that unless you take steps to be more social, less sad and rid your self of the "other junk" it will just hang around.

There are thinkgs you can do...just get out and about..at malls, etc. Go to a coffee shop and just observe people, go to church.

Watch how you think...rid yourself of any negetives and REPLACE them with positives!!

Good Luck.

I would add to that list enrolling in school, gosh there is nothing like that for the opportunity to meet people, get the old brain fired up, and goal oriented behavior.

Do not think that it will get better, make it get better! The only way is to change your thoughts . Get those negative thoughts out of yor mind .What happened in the past needs to stay there. The past sessions that brought them back is a start to getting back into the now world. The isolation and other junk is just a picture of your world as you see it.What can heppen if you stop thinking,NOTHING!Just work on your partner. Tell him how you feel when things are not going the right way.
