Only if you are into watching a experiment in sociology which clearly demonstrates that some people will do ANYTHING for a fast buck!

ginger -- it's addicting. You might like it, just for an amusing diversion. I thought it would be sort of dumb, but got hooked second season.

How ya been?

Silence, if you have a DVD player, may I suggest indulging in the first season of "Six Feet Under"? Trust me, you'd like it. Every episode starts with someone dying.

Personally, I prefer the Simpsons to all of those reality shows. Or King of the Hill. Animation is so much more realistic than these reality shows. 🙂

I watch simpsons too. Apart from survivor I usually watch 24, south park, simpsons and bullshit. And if I happen upon any british comedies, I'll usually watch them too.

I like "That 70's Show" for pure silliness. I'm showing my age here.

Anything really. Of course I know all monty pythons by heart. The young ones has always been my favorite british series. Ab fab is OK. Mr. bean and black adder are also worth a watch. I used to religiously watch the old Whose line is it anyway? Other than that I'll watch the shows, but probably won't remember them.

South Park, Mmm-'kay? Ya gotta love it!

Silence, give Six Feet Under a chance. You have to see the episode where the Porn Star dies!

time to resurrect this thread again.

True to my word, I really couldn't get into this season of survivor. I watched the first 7 episodes and then quit. All of the cool people were gone by then. The only thing I said to myself was that I hope that douchebag Chris doesn't win. Because he was the biggest jerk on the men's team.

I stand by my original conviction. God still doesn't exist.

Silence,
Not quite sure what questioning God has to do with survivor, But I have definately been questioning him myself lately.

Silence, If God is real,(which I think he is) he does not really care about who wins on a silly show run by CBS.

I've been questioning god lately too, not so much that he does or does not exist, but rather WHY he won't fulfill my wishes when it comes to love. I really believed that if I prayed and asked enough, God would fulfill my wish and help me get back with my boyfriend.....well, last week my boyfriend told me he doesn't see us being together again....so much for my prayers. Now where do I go from here? Why does God let me down?

Well, it is just televison after all--the purpose of it is partly to get you outraged.

But while we're on the subject of Divine Intervention and TV, what about Futurama, what about Star Trek?

Oh Lord, why hast thou forsaken Television.

Oh, it was God forsaken already. Never mind.

I believe that God exists...

But what makes us think that we can go around and screw things up, then it's His job to come and make it all better?

If that were the case, the World would be his Barbie-Doll house... He has given us Free Will, we have chosen to use it destructively.

Hurts So Bad,

God does love you. And He wants what's best for you. And He knows what's best for you. Maybe your boyfriend isn't that best. I don't know, but God does. How awful would it be to second guess God, stay with your boyfriend, and then meet the person God really has in mind for you? God does answer prayers, but the answer isn't always "yes". Sometimes it's "no" or "wait".

perhaps looking into the idea of more than one god... all things contributing to the universe in some way shape or form instead of just one "supreme being" running everything could help?

just a humble pagan...

I believe in God. I think God does answer your prayers. His answer may not be what you wanted, but it is what's best for you. And he answers prayers in his time. Maybe, Hurts, he will put you and your boyfriend back together, but just not right now. Are there issues you need to work out first?

I agree 100% mama, people think that because they do not get what they want, there is no god, when in fact sometimes what we want is not what we need. What we want is not what should be in our life.

Boy, Silence you opened up one now.... God certainly does exist and is amused by our constant striving for easier and easier entertainment. My advice: Take up a book tonight!

Jill,
I understand what you're saying, but yet, why is it that out of the 2 or 3 times I have wanted so badly for God to help me in a relationship, I have felt God wasn't on my side. Maybe I'm not meant to be with anyone. That would really be sad because I think I have a lot of love to give someone. I've asked for guidance, asked for his help in getting over this pain (the pain I have to admit has gotten a lot less over the last few days), but tonite, I'm missing my ex again. I'm working real hard to now email him tonite. I just wish that if God thinks my ex is wrong for me --- he'd take any feelings I have for my ex and let them die. I'm just so disappointed.
