God is real!! Survivor is a tv show. God does not care about the outcome of any game, even the Utah Jazz basketball team!! (Hey, I live here and have to make a plug.) Anyway,God worries about individuals and them following his commandments not who wins what. He way above us!

Rob is the embodiment of every guy that gave me shit in school. I hated him the first time around. I groaned when I saw that he returned. And this whole time I've been beating my head around a pole seeing him get away with everything.

Hence my feelings right now that there is no god. Why should the lowest, dirtiest assholes in the world suddenly find fame, romance, wealth and happiness?

Alena, yeah I think she was cunning, but she fell for the oldest mans trick in the book. He wants her money. SHe shoulda dumped him the minute they got off that island.

Johnny Fairplay was a low down lying piece of dog liver with maggots on it. I hated the things he got away with, and the grandma thing was beyond low.

Also the other Rob. He was a weasel too, especially on his original Survivor.

Boston Rob was the antithesis of the best player, Ethan, who played honest and showed you can win that way. Boston Rob lied and backstabbed heartily and with a grin. I despise his character. He did outplay Amber, truth be told. I don't think her actions on the show meant she did anything but ... well, I will watch my comments here. Suffice it to say, she did not deserve to win. I had a meeting Sunday night and when we turned on the tv after to see those two sitting there, I about had a heart attack.

Rupert is the man -- gypsygirl, you are so right! I voted for him on the online poll. I hope he wins -- I rooted for him on the last 2 Survivor shows.

As for the evils of Survivor, it's a show. Just entertainment. That's all but I enjoy it. Could be worse things I choose to spend an hour doing on Thursday nights! šŸ˜‰

"God does not hide Itself so that we will have to look for It. We hide ourselves from It by ignorance, by ignoring Its omnipresence. God is not a withholding God, but neither is It a giving God. God is Love and It neither rewards nor punishes."

I was beginning to wonder about this thread. For there not to be a God, things sure sound fine in here.

There is still no god. My faith is irrevocably shattered. You can pray all you want for my soul, but it is forever lost.

I don't need to pray for your soul. God is watching over you nonetheless. No matter what you think.

Silence,

When you come to terms with the fact that YOU are GOD, man, your world is going to start rocking!

As for Survivor, all I can say is I think it's one of the most fascinating sociological experiments (along with "The Real World" which I believe was TV's very first reality show) around. Where else do you get a chance to get inside someone's mind the way you do there? It is a ripe field for anyone who wants to learn more about human behavior, and what we are really willing to do in the name of a so-called "game". I mean the network calls it a game, but what is it really?

I have to secretly admit that I thought the dude who lied about his dead grandma was brilliant. I mean, if the show is a "game", the boy had the idea down to a science. How low can we go?

Is this worse than our risking innocent lives of brave Americans and Iraqi civilians over false pretenses? Maybe this is just a way for the media to shift our focus from soldiers who are just following orders on both sides of the front.

Think about it!

I'm still weary about the show. I don't know if I'm going to watch it anymore. I just feel so sad, and angry, and frustrated at the same time. It's literally making me depressed just thinking about it. Life can't be this unjust.

Dude, you have it all! I can hear it in your writing. I can see it in your words! You're rockin', man! What you need to do is audition for the show, Silence. Then get out there and prove that nice guys ULTIMATELY finish first...unless there's a woman and a golden statue involved!

They wouldn't take me for 2 reasons. 1, I do get to know people, but I am a shy person right off the bat. They look for people that are easy to know within the first few seconds.

Also they look for people with strong family bonds. Makes that scene more emotional when they bring out the family members. My whole family could die tomorrow and I really wouldn't give a shit.

which is why you could have pulled off the "Oh, Dear Lorrrrd! My Grandma died!!!!" bit ever so perfectly, right?

Silence, you might be easier to know than you think!

No. I'm a quiet bastard for the first 5 minutes. I really don't talk to other people unless I'm forced to, or they talk to me first.

So you're quiet for the first 5 minutes. They'll just edit it out anyway, right?

Does everyone who visits here have insomnia?

Perhaps not everyone, but a good chunk of us do have some form of insomnia. šŸ™‚

I have never seen survivor. Ever. Not even a single episode. I wonder if I'm missing something.
