I haven't even turned on the tv or news so I had no idea that the midwest was getting hit so hard other than what you shared yesterday. My daughter called last night from WY and says its 9 degrees and lots of snow there. I hope you enjoy being snowed in! I love bundling up and watchings movies! Tell me again how old your daughters are? My daughters are one year 1/2 apart. They are now 32 and 30. They are so dear to me. We use to enjoy cuddling together on the sofa bed under tons of warm blankets having video madness weekends. Lots of popcorn and hot chocolate with marshmellows! Having them has brought me so many blessings. Out of all of my life's experiences, Being a Mother has been the most rewarding experience and NOW being a Grandmother. Being able to love, nurture, and validate them and let them know how special they are is so energizing to the little child within.

I am glad that you have a special friend to be there for you while recouperating. I hope that you will have a speedy recovery and a healthier heart. I am amazed with what they do outpatient these days. I believe our bodies are amazing too! Enjoy the day Soprano! I am going to my Coda meeting. I love meetings because I get to hear about others experience, strength, and hope. It helps me know that recovery is possible. I have really enjoyed the book study too! It helps me think about what I am doing and become aware of my behaviors. I love to read. Always have. As a child you could find me reading in the dark with a flashlight when we were camping and it was dark. Sometimes I think I may read too much as a coping mechanism. I guess its healthier than other coping mechanisms. Yesterday I sewed the curtains to match my newly painted kitchen cupboards. I am not a seamstress but it was pleasantly challenging. I try to do things to build my confidence and sometimes they backfire and I tear myself to shreds with negative self talk. I am learning to acknowledge that I do this too and change the message. Take Care of YOURSELF. Are you doing ok with hubby being gone still?

mj,

So funny when i am doing a craft or painting...sometimes the negative banter starts. I really like having music or a movie playing in the background that is more based on conversation than visuals.

I love Gilmore Girls for this purpose since the conversation is very witty. Oh...and watching the Secret gets me thinking really positive too.

Soprano!

Hooray for you. So nice to be away from that...Wow the kids don't miss him...that shows that he wasn't very involved in their lives.

My son does miss his dad even after a day of being away...hopefully, they can have a good relationship...if that incident was a one time occurance.

He was angry at me...is the thing. man.

Anyway, 4 days recovery! Sweet! It must not be openheart. Are they going through a large vein or artery or something to get into the heart?

Happy reading and relaxing to you. 🙂 If you aren't too drugged up...watching movies is the way to go if concentrating on words is throwing you for a loop.

I am glad for your relief!

So what did you think of last nights episode of Gilmore girls? I want Luke back in Loreli's life! I quit watching it for weeks after she married Christopher.

AG--

Yes, they are going in through a vein in my leg. It still amazes me though that it can be done through outpatient surgery.

Hope you are having a good day. I finally unburied myself from the winter storm that Ohio had. Officially we only had 11 inches, but I had snow drifts up to three feet in my driveway. I did what I could, but I knew that I couldn't overexert myself.

Still enjoying my freedom, and that is good. Haven't missed him yet (I doubt he would have shoveled the driveway for me.)

mj!

I am only up to season 6! Don't tell me that...OMG...ha ha! 🙂

I get it on netflix. Our tv reception is terrible and we don't have cable.

I am there with you about the snow issues. It took a long time and some help from a guard at our apartment to get the snow/slabs of glued on iced of of my car.

I guess these slabs of ice keep shooting off people cars in traffic and breaking windshield wipers and cracking wind shields. The snow hear is like this crazy perma frost layed that you can drive over with your car with out cracking or leaving a dent.

So, a sore spot on you leg instead of cracking open your ribs. Fantastic! Ahhh...technology. 🙂

I totally get you...yeah what he even do for you anyway aside from cause you trouble and heart ache with the occasion fleeting happy moments that you weren't sure you could trust.

I know you are looking to get out of debt, but to save you health and exertion wise, I'd buy a huge think of ice melt and/or sand and throw it on top of the snow and see if it does any good on it's own.

That was my method when we lived on the military base and my husband refused to do anything but play video games and I had a 3 month old. Or sometimes I payed a kid.
