Can I get a witness?

Hey gals.

I will be turning 49 this year.

Don't know what the deal is here lately with me - but it seems that something is taking over me in that I just don't seem to give a rat's ass about some stuff like I used to.

Guilt? Not really.

Sure - I am finding that there is probably 'good' guilt and 'unhealthy' guilt.

"Good' guilt give me a swift kick in the pants and lets me know that my action (s) or lack thereof is just not kosher - just doesn't fly - in the great scheme of things in this adult, responsible world.

So - OK. I get that.

It's warranted.

'Unhealthy - aka - unwarranted guilt as to just my nature about being human and stuff - anymore - just doesn;t seem to fly.

Not no more.

Can I get a witness?

Anyone 'feel' me here?

😉

Geesh - what the heck am I to do about these awful night sweats?

I had a radical hysterectomy - like - almost 20 years ago due to cervical cancer.....so why in the hell do my breasts get so sore I have to hold them when I walk and it feels like my guts DROP about 3 inches and I get the most awful "period cramps' when clearly - my 'innards' were taken out years ago?

Just what in the hell is up with this??????

Can anyone relate?????

(Thanks in advance.)

TbT , I am not only a witness. I have lived through it. I was 49 when I found this site and I am now 51. I had one ovary removed 17 years ago. But I have gone through this naturally for a few years. But, with all going on in my life.......it just played in...my last period was when I was in my 50's. I cannot separate my moods from everything and menopause. The fishy part for myself is I have very few hot flashes. UH?

Anyway, I am not too wise about all of this. I suspect the ladies a few years older than me or you know more about this. Wish you the best with this, Love, horsefly

(((TBT))

No advice, but feeling your pain. I to want to know what is up with all of this crap each month.

I to had a hyterotomy and they left my ovaries as well, but hey I still get all of those horrible symptoms and it sucks!.

I had a hysterectomy at 44. They left in my ovaries. However, the hysterectomy "slammed" me into early menopause. I had three very rough years. Thought that was the end of it.

Then...in my early fifties, it hit again. Go figure. Sweats. Sore breasts. Lots of UTI's. THe works.

I would suggest you discussing this with your OB-GYN, to discuss the pro's and con's of ERT (estrogen replacement therapy). I take 1/3 of a dose each day and it keeps me comfortable, while avoiding any risk of serious side effects.

Thanks everyone!

I am thinking about some kind of HRT.

I remember that a woman doctor - Christine Northrop, I think is her name writes extensively about this.

Something I seem to remember about a topical HRT - like a lotion you rub on your pulse points.

I'll check it out again.

Once again, thanks for the witnesses 😉 Much appreciated.
