It looks like we should hold that thought, Ras! Like right now we yet to get our leaves of abscence hopefully with some extra bonus. 🙂

Hi, GG!! Miss you!!! You busy teacher! I got a fast smart 7 y.o. to teach English. She wants to do the wheel of colors (primary, secondary, tertiary). That is, she wants to do color combination, and Im thinking "instruction". Hard to plan private classes but at least a plan can be altered, its not like in shcools, right? Hope youre not doing anything you shouldnt this big vacation coming! What are you planning?!

hugs to all

Well Sini, I have been out of school for two weeks and have done some projects, started walking, but not much. I am trying to plan a getaway, but prices,,,yikes!

I do have a two day workshop to attend then end of this month. This is the most free time I have ever had in my life and I am not liking it. I have always had such a busy life with four kids. All of them are in college now.

GG, if you dont know where to get started with your free time, start by remembering its your time and its free only b/c you earned it! So, enjoy it!

Ive managed to do some things as I took a turn for the better. My motivation is higher. When I dont know what to do I start with projects on hold or some organizing overdue from last year. It gets me going. I also think of things to do that are a part of what I want to see finished sometime in my future. I refrained from doing a lot of things b/c Im not settled where I am. I realized Im not settled, period. And as I went about doing flower arrangements and organizing, I started liking where Im living more. Nothing is for the rest of our lives. It can get better, and it can get worse if we dont nourish what we do have. Im 47 and not that accomplished. But like you, we have to set our boudaries to achieving. Living is an achievement! I remember the days we spoke of hurting ourselves. This is another phase. Much better. We can really help each other, modesty apart. But we do know each other and ourselves better than a while back. For sure. Hugs,

PS: RAS, of all people, I want to share something with you about Frisky. From cat mom to cat mom, for your support along the way. Just that Im happy to stick out with him and see him and I getting along and him getting big and even cuddlier! Great, huh? Frisky gave pulse to my home according to my therapist! He lifts some dust, thats for sure 😉 But oh Im so much better off b/c of him. Tks for having supported me on this venture!

hugs to all,

Hi hon, Sini...I'm glad Frisky (is that his final name?lol) is giving you the chill/thrill?lol

I agree...PP was instrumental to my recovery process either!!! I was sharing a testimony about this on the other thread to someone who had a dog. I wish I could have a dog when I can. Right now I have to delay this, sadly, since I'm planning to go back to college. I mean seriously, PP really saved my life from so many afflictions: depression, harsh & unfair trials, suicidal moments when I felt like life was not worth living or what's the point, esp when you realize that there has been so much abuse in your life. But Life is good, we just need to persevere and never give up.

Hi Gg! Good for you for these projects walking and taking workshops. I need to walk too, hopefully I'm going out today for coffee with nice guy (no romance, don't get your hopes up!!!). As for getaway...well why don't you just hit the road, take some interesting book and go sit in a coffee shop or attack the public library in your area, or the swimming pool or any other fun action taking place in your area??? You see, you don't need to break your budget, it can be quite free or inexpensive. It provides you with some free time away from your family even if for a couple of hours.

OR:

We can just open up a new thread and pretend that we are going somewhere hot and cool...spa, shopping spree, Monte Carlo. Sunny beaches, Hawaii, Tahiti or any of those really cool areas? who will start this: Whoever finds they have some time.

I will see you later folks leaving you with this suggestion! (((Friends)))

Ras, just got back from walking...It is hard to make myself go, but once I am done, I am so glad.

I hope you have nice time with nice guy...

A new thread would be fun, gee, I miss Jen... I was just thinking how fun it would be if we could pretend we were taking a road trip to all the states and whoever is from that state could tell us some fun things to do while there. Damn, I am so a teacher...Or, the beach would be nice...I have never been to Hawaii...doesn't matter to me.

Sini, did you read LL's thread? Her middle son had an emergency appendectomy last night.

Hi, there!

Thank HP LL´s son is ok! Ive been runing around from my town to the city, just checking in now.

Ras, I love your idea of a trip around town anywhere. Then I love GG´s idea of all the states. Here´s a thought... We can start a thread entitled "From Washington to California". Then people can say (1) what they´d like to do on a sunny weekend in their city (keeping it anonymous) while (2)talking about their state! After that, we can move to a thread entitled "From California to Nevada".

Like: What Id love to do on sunny weekend in my town is take my cat to park, buy some popcorn, or take my bike to the edge of the river and watch the boats go by. In my state, there are also beautiful mountains with nice vineyards. I could go for a drive there rather than going to the beaches. Tha Atlantic is not so nice for bathing near where I live.

UPDATE: Frisky got frisky and fleed away. Anyone who wants can say a prayer that he comes back b/c Im missing him. He got onto the window sill and jumped to the low roof in the yard and took off from there, I think. He was gone when I got home after a few hours today. My neighbor saw him on top of the roof. Let the best for him happen...

(((Frisky))) Hope you get him back.

Sini, I love your idea about how to do the thread of the states, but we must include those from other countries and that will really make it special...You can get it started!!!

Thank God LL's son is better now!

What, Frisky 's disappeared? OMG That's why I don't allow PP to leave my place. There is wire panel on my windowsill, even tho she likes to stand there and look at the street; yet she's protected. She only goes out on the pation when I sit there sipping my coffee.

I will keep Frisky in my prayers today, checking this thread whenever I can. Please keep us posted asa you find Frisky!

sini - you have GOT to be kidding?!!!! Oh my GOD! I can't believe Kitty Mitzy Frisky took off. If she's like any of my cats in the past, she'll return when she gets cold or hungry. My goodness. I can't believe it. Put food out on the window sill that she jumped from, and at your front door around feedling time. I'll be saying tons of prayers for you and KMF. :o(

Hi, ladies!!

FRISKY IS BACK!

The security guard found it walking down the street and called it to my building´s front patio. The he rang the bell, and (I knew it) when I opened my door, Frisky came running in. It let me embrace it. It was touchy. Its godmother almost cried! The guard was so nice, he doesnt want a thing for his good deed!

Im a little lost b/c people say different things about run away cats. The nets would help but I just have a feeling that if I put nets on the windows, it´ll find another way to flee. Since it can run away again, I dont know if I train him to go and come sharpening his nails and playing catch... My deep sitted wish is that it could go and come... For now, Ill tie open the window pane that gives access to the roof and castrate it.

THANKS FOR ALL YOUR PRAYERS. HIS GODMOTHER MADE LIGHT A CANDLE TO ST. FRANCIS OF ASSISI TO WHOM MY GIRL STUDENT PRAYED. LOOKS LIKE WE´RE A BUNCH OF FAITHFUL PEOPLE!!! WOOHOO!

sininho-

HI! I'm glad your kitty is back.

And hello to everyone!

Cats do funny things. My neigbor had two cats that were brother and sister. The girl was the little one and she was one of those perpetual kittens. She just never grew in size or maturity. She would get locked out by mistake and wonder the building. But instead of going back to the apartment she lived in, she would go to the one BELOW it and cry and cry, wondering why no one was there to let her in. Well, it was ALMOST the right apartment! It was sad, but adorable. I went to get her a few times.

My other neighbors cat stayed at my house for a bit because I needed her scent to ward off mice. She was so funny. At first I thought she ran away. I freaked out. I looked all over the building, the roof, etc. Then I went back to my apartment and I saw these two green eyes staring at me from the darkness in the back of my closet. She was claiming a new space.

They come back. When they want, right?

gotta love the kitties.

give yours a hug from me sininho, that cat from my closet was supposed to be mine. But my neighbor procrastinated, didn't give her to me and then she ran away. Once the most affectionate cat you could meet, she came back from the streets skinny and almost feral and wouldn't let anyone near her. It broke my heart and now my dog lives alone. They were friends.

anyway, I am rambling, just wanted to say hi.

THANKS FOR COMEMORATING WITH ME! FRISKY IS JUST KINDA KNOCKED OUT SLEEPING. WHEN HE RAN BACK IN THIS AFTERNOON, I FELL ON MY KNEES AND HE STOPPED ON HIS TRACKS. DID NOT FLEE FROM ME. IT WAS NICE! THANKS FOR THE SUPPORT!!

Hi, Ella! Thanks for the love and support! Its good to hear about other people´s cat stories so I don´t feel it´s only me with some cat woe. Getting attached to animals is a beautiful but har d thing sometimes.

I see you´re managing to stay alive and pretty well. Its so hard not to feel alone and hopeless when depressed, isnt´t it. But when we dont give up to noticing a little adorable thing there, another cute thing here, all by HP´s magic, well, plus a ittle humor, and things just don´t seem so hard. But...

THE BEST THING IS TO HAVE CYBER FRIENDS LIKE YOU! TKS!
