My wife gave me a magazine, where the subject taking care of your heart was discussed - how to prevent heart attack. Reduce stress was quoted as one of the big factors and what conditions in life caused stress. These conditions were indicated very well - grand negative changes in you life - loss of job, death in family, divorces, deppressions and so on. Be cheerful, create situations and remember some that would give you joy. Forgive. I read this article and have to laugh, when I have asked her to forgive me what ever I have done wrong in her opinion or mine. No way, she could not think of forgiveness. When we both went to the shrink after my recovery from addiction I remember from the shrink 2 advices: agree to disagree and don't talk about the past. There have been so much telling me what I have been doing wrong and same things repeated over and over. I wonder what she thought when she read the article and forgiving was mentioned as big thing to improve heart's health. And as far of agreeing to disagree we never accomplished what is meant, I always had to agree for the sake of peace, otherwise there would be an argument starting. Then the article also said singing would be good for you. So I better get to it and start singing. Happy birthday to you! It is our daughter's birthday to day, we sent the card and the gift. I've recently heard someone (a laugh therapist) say that having a good laugh doesn't solve your problems but changes the way you perceive them.

Laughing - he said - reduces stress, feelings of depression, sleeplesness and (excessive) worrying because it relaxes the musles (which releases endorphines causing you to feel more comfortable and relaxed).

Laughing also stimulates your blood circulation and lowers your blood pressure.

So I'd be happy - and more than willing - to sing along with you !

My mother worked as a nurse and a doctor once told her that Anger is the reason for most of our sickness. I would add to this stress, coz honestly whenver I get stressed, I become sick. So, here is the connectoin between the two.
