I am contemplating seeing someone for some counseling. I have some problems that are affecting everything in my life and I need to do something about it. Any suggestions? Is it worthwhile? What should I look for in a counsellor/psychiatrist? Help!

Interview the individuals that are available to you, several specialize. I would imagine that all will say they can help you, choose some one that you might feel heard with during the interview. After your first session you will fell better, or know that this is not for you. Somtimes its a process of elimination.
