THIS HAS BEEN, BY FAR, THE MOST STRESSFUL PERIOD IN MY LIFE. I HAVE SO MANY THINGS HAPPENING, BOTH BY CHOICE AND SOME NOT BY CHOICE, BUT ALL STRESSFUL, NONETHELESS. I REALLY FEEL "ON THE EDGE" AND NOTHING IS MAKING ME HAPPY. I HAVE BEEN LOSING THINGS, REALLY IMPORTANT THINGS, MY HOUSE IS IN TRANSITION BECAUSE I'M MOVING, SO I CAN'T FIND ANYTHING! I WAS HOPING TO HOLD ONTO SOME STRUCTURE, BUT I CAME DOWN WITH CONJUNCTIVITUS TODAY AND OF COURSE, CAN'T TEACH, OR EVEN BE AT THE SCHOOL, WHERE I WOULD LOVE TO BE. HELP!!!

Teacher,

I hear you, stress can make you physically and emotionally drained. I have been trying to relieve some stress in my life and I know it's not an easy task! I have 4 girls 5 and under so I know what you are talking about. Ok, try meditating.....take a deep breath and picture only good positive things coming in, then hold it, and when you release it picture the bad negatives thing leaving your body... do this several times. God might be testing you my friend. Tell yourself that you are strong and are going to make it through this rough time in your life. Let go and Let God lead you. Know that everything you are feeling is temporary and will pass. Life is short so try and live it like it's you last... this will help you appreciate what you have. Take Care,

Jaskid

teacher, times of stress can be awful. The good thing is, they end. So, just hang in there, don't feel responsible for everything, try to sort things by priority and give them to somebody else to do whenever possible. And: you (just you, yourself) should be top on this list of priorities (don't delegate this one). Don't put what you want to do, or what you feel obliged to do first, just put yourself first. Everything else may be important, but most things can wait a little longer, some might even disappear. And my experience with things that dissappeared when I moved was: they are not lost, and when I relax I might remember where I put them, if not they'll turn up in some ridiculous place.
Good luck and take care
Eve

Stress is really how WE react to and perceive events in our lives.
Change your thinking, change your stress level.

Teacher
I hear what you say, even the word 'stress' makes me stressed! I'm a 36 yr old student nurse, up to my neck in essays, that have to be in by tommorow! With 3 young children it isn't easy! My last essay is on counselling
which is why I visited this web site. I find talking to freinds and family helps, or anyone who is willing to listen! A problem shared is a problem halved. when things really get me down, I shut myself in the bathroom , light the candles, and take a relaxing bath
which seems to wash away my built up stress, down the plug hole!! Have faith, think positive, there is light at the end of that dark tunnel.
