I was going through a web sitethat had a self assessing questionnaire to decide how stressed one is. I tried my hand. I found that I was at the upper end of those vulnerable. In a scale of 10 to 50 I scored 42 points.

I studied further to note that among "External Stressors" 1)Interaction with people, 2) Deadlines in work place 3)daily hassles such as mechanical breakdowns, unexpected absentees adds to my stress.

Among "Internal stressors"1)Overloaded schedule(?) 2)Pessimism,Self criticism,Over analysing 3) Taking things personally, exaggerating, rigid thinking caused stressful condition. I assessed myself as a perfectionist(?) and pleaser.

The result has been that I am presently going through a tough phase in my life that is almost maddenning. This is bound to reflect in my work performance. It will likely become a vicious cycle. Anxiety, fearfulness, hopelessness, decreased ability to think clearly is making things go from bad to worse.

My personal circumstances also are aggravating the situation.I feel totally lost.A non smoker, I feel like smoking. I resort to mastrubation too often as a escape.(At 50 years of age, I think it is unnatural).

Having diagnosed my problem it appears a simple next step to follow the oft explained remedies: Meditate, Exercise, take long walks,Create reliable friends, Confide in trust worthy people, List out priorities,Live life a day at a time, think of God etc.

Easier said than done !!!!!

How can anyone help such a person???????

Don't start smoking...and don't worry about masterbating...that's is up to you and if you like it....

Self diagnosis can be troublesome. We tend to be more down on ourselves than we should be.

Now that you have at least identified SOME of the problem find an objective third party...counselor, trusted pastor, therapist, stress reduction person etc. to help you truly deal with the items you mentioned.

Some of those things are totally out of your control...don't stress on things you can't do anything about. The ones you CAN control..work on slowly.

To your bottom line question ---Yes I know someone who can totally help you...in fact two someone's . The first is God if you are so inclined (Cast all your ares on Him) and the other is you. You CAN make a difference in YOUR life ...but it is up to you.

I think you have made a good start.

You have the answers, masterbation who cares, might just do the trick, but seriously give yoga a try. Not necessarily while doing the other, I mean you might be able to, heck just thinking about it kinda funny. Laughter is also the greatest stress release. Lighten up
