I felt really sad for the fact that steve irwin ... The crocodile hunter, died tragically today.

He was an awesome dad, i feel for his wife and kids who truly would be very sad right now.

Makes me think its time to stop focusing on what i dont have, a dad for my daughter, money from him, etc etc etc and focus on all that i do have.... Think we all need too really...

He was such a good guy and i hear he was quite popular in the usa as well with his love for wildlife and his antics, not to mention 'crikey' Its a very sad day indeed.

Wow, I didn't know about this...just went online and read the news report. That is horribly tragic.

He was a great entertainer as well as a dedicated conservationist...he will be missed.

I agree, Alycia...very grateful for my life, such as it is.

He will be missed. A person just never knows when their time is up. He died doing something he loved to do. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.

His enthusiasm, curiosity, and love for all living things inspired me. A great naturalist we will not see the likes of soon. Prayers to his family and loved ones.

I was so moved by the TV interview he gave to Matt Louer on the today program about the incident with his new baby and the croc...while sitting in front of the camera he held his daughter. She was so loving to him ...listening to him explain the incident and his passion and love for his children...she stroked his face, kissed his hand, put her little arm around his neck, placed her head on his shoulder..all this love during the entire interview...what a loving tribute to a man, a father and a mighty naturalist. He will be missed.

Steve Irwin came to So Cal this year to a nearby lake we have here. A couple of men had kept alligators as pets in their backyard until they became too large, so they dumped one in this lake that is at a park. The alligator became quite the celebrity and was named "Reggie".

Since alligators aren't exactly native here, when it was first seen, authorities starting bringing in all kinds of expert "croc hunters" from Florida, and when they couldn't catch "Reggie", they brought in Steve Irwin. But he couldn't catch him either. So Reggie still out in the lake somewhere.

Steve was a special man and will be missed.

did you check on your front page of your computer....whether it be MSN, Yahoo or Aol, etc...its front page everywhere.

I am so saddened by this, reading reports that usually death doesn't occur if you get stung, but I guess the way the creature was imbedded into Steve it went right thru his heart...so sad 🙁
