Sometimes at night I just sit awake in bed and think about things... my kitty sits beside me taking her little bath. The gives my arm a bath too... When I'm awake sitting and thinking I get a lot resolved. This is good. Sometimes it's better than reading a book. Books can be distractions from problems that need to be thought out.

Just wanted to share that... Does anyone else do this?

Wow, does that sound like a cool thing to do. Just reading what you wrote made me relaxed!! *smile
I never had a kitty, always dogs, and when I was young living at home, my dogs would sneak on my bed lick my face, and stare at me, and roll on their backs and stuff, but dogs just don't "reflect"...they don't get into that bath thing, that calm thing.
I know that when I sit and think, with no TV, no music, no book and my dog sits at my feet, I often just pet her and put my head back and my feet up and think. Having animals around and interacting with them lowers blood pressure and in the elderly, actually gives them reason to smile and feel good.

Excellent idea Artist 2, now I wish I had a kitty.

Its just this side of meditation, stilling the mind, yea I do it all the time. With the animals calming influence, what a great place to be, personally Alena, I prefer the dog to the kitty, they have all those scratchy things on their tounges.

mmmmmm......jammies.......I love that feel too after a nice hot bath...soaking up to my chin...bubbles, and hot, hot, hot. then into soft, brushed flannel ones to read my new book and then OUT of those hot jammies before I go to bed because our freakin waterbed is hotter than than hell...! Molly, everyone I know with a kitty says they sleep on top of their pillows ON their heads! Right now, nobody gets to sleep on the waterbed with long nails, but we're getting a real bed after the first of the year and then I think I'll let my Lab on the bed and see if she digs it. Does Jonz sleep with you?

I have red checked flannel Jammies that I just got, I am not wearing them though:(

I realized just now in the hot bath while switching our hair to red that we have confrences with ourselves. There is a reason that I space out and require alot of alone time. Cause we discuss among ourselves what happened that day and how we reacted. Damn, I am having alot of theraputic breakthroughs this week.

Had another therapy session today and we talked about the girls and the laundry mat and the mother and the guys that each one of us is dating. No wonder I have been shimmering alot this week, this year.... I have alot of stress in my life.

Saw my son's social worker and am going to reaply for my sons SSI and she suggested that I should also. I have been seeking treatment for at least a year and have left a few jobs because I could not handle them.

I have to do another letter to the school for them to continue my financial aid I have documantion that I was unable to meet the requirments for the semester and I can pursuade them that I need to be in school if it is only half time instead of full time.

I am full of hope today!

Sometimes toward the end of my paycheck, I just have to say to myself, "Gone. Gone." But look, here comes another one!

Alena, when I was younger, I had a cat that slept across my neck, and yes they do sleep on pillows. this cat we have now has always been out numbered by the dogs, he will just like the kids, position him self for petting, during the sunday morning drink coffee read the paper all are allowed up on the bed.
When I go to bed, hubby is still down stairs, Jonz comes up, and does get to be on the bed when I go to sleep, he snuggles to the back side, and the mini schnauzer is at the foot of the bed all night, she is so old, just takes the kicks and repositions, is also good at pretending to be a hot water bottle when needed. Jonz when hubby comes upstairs, jumps to the side of my bed, and pretends to be a carpet. Both are allowed up during morning coffee, and paper. Hubby says only one penius on the bed with mom for sleeping. She is mine he declares. But if I am gone, guess who sleeps with Hubby all night on the bed. for a man who was so tough, and strict with the mentality of dogs are dogs, and that is why there are dog houses, and why the hell do they have to be in the house all the time, I really cracked up this morning with coffee and paper, as Jonz was curled up to Hubby, when he was doing the scratching of the belly, going who's your daddy mrJonz who's your daddy!!!!
If we don't wait around and put in the time with these guys, we never get to see the results of all of our efforts, never surrender, but never loose hope.

Yep--I have my own personal Mr. These Are Your Animals And They Annoy Me who will feed them and give them attention and put them out(the dogs) if I get exhausted and fall asleep on the couch and who will take them to the vet if I'm working. He told me from the beginning that he didn't like animals--yet he let me move in with my 3 and my female rottweiller thinks he's the best thing since sliced bread and he's fallen in love with my male Am staff--and to this day if asked he say's he doesn't like animals--even though he had a cat for 16 years who died last March and who I know he still misses. Kids love him, too by the way and of course he says he doesn't like them either.???
