I feel badly for this girl, as, again, I am sure she would have liked to be the one to tell him.

I mean if they met and there was no chemistry, then nothing needed to be said. If it was getting to that next level in time, then she could have told him at the right time and the right way for her.

Really horrible friend to have told him this about this girl!

Bonita,
You are right. Some forms of the wart virus are linked with cancers. There are high risk types and low risk types. Mine was diagnosed as the low risk. That is why the doctor chose to do nothing. I wanted them gone for aesthetic reasons. Even though I couldn't see them and my doctor said she couldn't see them. I could feel them with my fingers. They were in that space between the vaginal opening and the anus.

The information mj posted indicates that warts from hands cannot be spread to genital areas. However, my ob/gyn told me that they can be! When I was younger I would sometimes get very tiny, barely visible warts on the tips of my fingers. I haven't had any in years. My doctor thought I might have given myself the genital warts from my fingers. I am pretty sure, that they came from the man I was "seeing" at the time.

Lolli, I suffer from cold sores and many past beaus have treated me like a leper since they are also caused by the herpes virus. I am taking the L-lysine but I don't have much faith in it. It doesn't seem to help. I just ordered some oxygen cream system I found on the Internet, so we'll see.

Lolli, I feel for you and I would not want to suffer with what you have. I honestly don't think it is any worse than cold sores though. The blisters are the same, the pain is the same etc. Geez, at least when it is "below the belt" it is hidden. Mine is on my face for all to see and say, "Ew."

Hi Mishy,

I know....my g/f suffers terribly with "cold sores". That is why I don't understand why it is so shameful. Sooooo many people have it, it seems more common to have it than to NOT have it.

Believe it or not, I got it from someone that had a cold sore. We did use a condom and it NEVER occured to me that I could get it "down there" from a cold sore. Just goes to show you how naive I was.

I have since educated myself and now know that it is the same virus.

It sucks, but it's life. Thankfully there are people out there that are mature enough to understand that it happens, and with care, you can prevent spreading it to others.

Take care,
Lolli

Lolli, I am laughing at myself. This is the first time I realized you were male - not that that makes any difference. It is hard to know on an anonomous board. It was presumptuous of me to think that with a candy name, you had to be a woman!

I have always been very careful to avoid "going down" on any man or kising anyone when I have a cold sore. All this week Hubby kept asking for a b.j. and I kept pointing to the cold sore to remind him why he wasn't getting his.

Mishy....

Now I'm laughing too. I am a woman with a candy name. LOL

When I said my g/f....I was referring to my best friend...who is a girl. girl + friend = girlfriend. Sorry for the confusion.

I am girl and I did get if from a guy.

Love,
Lolli
