It's my favorite aunt, whom I love more than life itself. Ever since I came outta my Mom's womb, we were always so close. I caled her collect a lot from college & she said her bill was high. So, I went and got a calling card & I called her 2day. But when I called some message came up. It was as if my number had been blocked from her telephone. I mean that really hurt me. Ho wcould she do that to me? When she told me her bill was high, I was decent enough to stop calling collect & wait until I got a phone card to call her. I have money that I am willing to send her but she told me on many occasions that she refuses to accept any money from me b/c I am a college student. So why now is she blocking my number? I really care about her being in my life. Accept my parents & siblings, there is no family member I am closer to. Can any1 help?

Maybe you could write to her or email her and ask her what's up with that. It sounds like you have offered to pay, she hasn't accepted $. It also sounds like you appropriately stopped calling when she said something about the $ and waited until you got a calling card. If it were me (I'm codependent granted), I would probably send her $ anyway to let her know how serious I was and maybe a card letting her know your appreciation. Have you talked at all to your parents about this? Some people have a privacy manager thing where it blocks out unknown #'s. If you don't have a consistent phone # being at school, this may be why. I had a friend who had it to avoid sales calls.
Good Luck!

Did you let her know that you were going to stop calling until you got a calling card? How much time has gone by? Maybe she thought you got angry when she told you her bill was high and stopped calling. Also, the calling card might have something to do with it. Perhaps that's what's blocking the call. In any event, don't jump to conclusions. Write her or email her and explain that you're trying to get a hold of her. I'm sure everything's fine and there's just a glich in the phone system.

You were calling her twice a day? Maybe this isn't a money issue. You're in college now and maybe she's trying to help refocus your time into things more appropriate than talking with the old aunt back home. Enjoy where you are and explore the new opportunities!
