I am about 50 years old.Very "sesnsitive" and "short tempered". I live away from places where "professional counselling" is available. Is it possible to find some site where I can interact,preferably realtime,to cure myself of this "illness"?

Question....why all the "quotes"?

Have you tried changing your diet? That is perhaps the simplest and easiest way to determine whether your problem is really a mental one or an environmental one. Counseling can only help so much, and lifestyle and attitude changes have to come from teh individual.

Changing your diet means: no caffiene, cut down on fast food/prepared or frozen food, cut down on fat. Eat more fiber. Try to eat red meat 2-3 times a week, and try including alternative sources Exercise daily, even if it's just a walk in the evening after dinner.

Even though I am an undergrad in psych, my area of interest has grown to include nutritional deficit and psychology because I myself suffered from anxiety attacks and severe depression. I changed my diet and stopped taking certain prescription meds and I have no more problems.

BUT, if you're not up to making those changes in your life, then prescription antidepressants and anti-anxiety meds can help. Talk to your doctor.

Just remember, if you don't want to makethe lifestyle changes, then you'll never get any better.
