Okay, I am in and out trying to get some stuff done around the house---as long as I can't sleep I might as well be productive.

RW- It is like that for many guys who aren't married, sorry to inform you. They know they can get it elsewhere. Romance is out, once they think you are hooked.

I am having a dove bar.

mamac- what is the prognosis?

Neshie, I wish I had a dove bar. I am so hungry tonight and I don't know why. I shouldn't be I had enough to eat. I have some melon flavored popsicles maybe I will go get a couple of those---not quite a dove bar, but . . .

Maybe you should change up what you snack on periodically---I mean dove bars are great, but anything can get a little old.

Nesh-

Are you printing it out because you are done?

Tonight I went to a little show around Times Square directed and produced by a coworker's friend. I was really honored to be invited actually. My coworker is a sweet person, we've made plans before but haven't been able to go anywhere. She really is the one that made me feel most welcome when I first came to my job. Unfortunately, she may be leaving.

Hope you are done Neshema. I get tired just thinking about working after work! Reminds me of being in grad school (i finished last year).

Ella- That is cool, you went to grad school? You have a masters or what?

I may be done with my documents. I have to turn it in tomorrow and then go see my mom. After I finish, i have to put together a portfolio of stuff, but that is just mindless filing. I will do that by Oct something. I will revise this thing, only if they tell me I have to make some changes..if so, they will be minor. UGH...I AM READY TO SCREAM...but as you know, i implemented a new rule/boundary. no yelling whatsoever. Plus, i have a headache. THanks for all your kind wishes. THis has been such a drag, I cannot even tell you...

Nesh-

Yes, I went for library science. I hated it, but now I miss it! How strange is that? I guess when I was in school I was busy all the time and didn't have to face my issues. Also, it gave me a more positive impression of my feild that is true to it. Just like as in art school (my major as an undergrad), we were led to believe that their was a whole world out there for us to pursue. It is much more limited than that. There are jobs but not as many as they say, and not in the specialties one might want to pursue.

I've been working for five years. So I'm not worried. I just thought I could change specialties and from experience I know that I won't be able to do what I want. It's disappointing.

It's hard when you are working on a big project and nearing the end. For some reason the end of something like this can be the most stressful period of the process. It's harder than when you are in the beginning or the middle and know you ar ein for the long haul. You just get restless for it to be over, and anxious that something will go wrong and sabatoge all you have done. But when you finish... ahhhhh what a great feeling!!!

Sorry for the typos, and I never actually answered your question. Yes, I have a master's, and MLS. Few people realize you need that to become a librarian.

My background is not in literature. I am a children's librarian although I am thinking of getting out of that for many reasons, some personal, some professional.

Cool, ella- you are very educated. That is awesome. so, now you are in NYC?

Hi RW? I used to dye my own hair, but now I get this awesome person to do it for me.

i have this headache from hell. I think the stress of this promotion, plus my mother's illness is getting to me.

well, at least I told my guy no more yelling or swearing and he was really cool about it. I think he was almost relieved for a woman to put her foot down and demand he stay calm. It was sort of interesting. I thought he would get mad, but he seemed happy.

Be careful RW! Don't get distracted! Once I was streaking my hair while typing a paper and my hair turned orange and it smeared. I looked like a leprauchaun blew chunks on my head.

It cost me $300 to fix a mistake that I made trying to save money using a fifteen dollar kit.

Nesh-

Make sure you drink A LOT of water. My friend's brother had a brain tumor and his neurologist told him that sometimes when people get bad headaches all they need is to drink more water and hydrate themselves.

Nesh,

Yes, I've lived in NYC for almost 12 years now. I grew up in a nearby suburb. I've spent a lot of time in school, but I don't feel very well educated. I wish I would have spent some of my time better in school.

The field I am in is just one I fell into out of default. I didn't want it or as a career, in fact, I didn't want a career. I just wanted my little humble jobs and to pursue my art on my free time. But I'm not from a wealthy family, as many artists are (myth will have you believe otherwise), and had to make too many sacrifices ...I need good medical coverage for chronic health conditions etc. I need not explain here how expensive that is to pay out independently of working a full time job.

Working on my feet I got a minor condition- heel spurs- yet painful enough to make the jobs I was getting an excrutiating way to spend the day. I gave in and went back to school for something I didn't want to do.

LOL, neshie!!Hi again! Its 1:08a.m. here and I am getting ready for bed, just checkin' in for a quick peek.

Have you taken anything for that headache?? Drank lots of water? Rested your eyes? Staring at a computer screen is probably not helpful. 🙁
