mr 25 will be 26 on monday.

we met a month ago

we aren't officially "dating", but this weekend will change that.

my bday is thursday.

In the past, I would have pulled out all the stops to give him a nice bday. I overcompensate for my friends cuz my bday goes unnoticed....I know this is unhealthy, so I am stopping it.

What are some ideas for inexpensive gifts...sort of personal, but maybe whimsical too?

I got a card...and thought of maybe just baking him a cheesecake (our favorite) and doing just that.

But the "old" part of me is pulled towards doing more.

Ideas? or just tell me that this is enough....open to all views.

Hi Rising~

I vote for what you have on the top of your mind-*the new you in thinking*... a card and and homemade cheesecake: It's thoughtful, its appropiate at this stage in the relationship, and you will be changing an old behavior : )

I think that the card/cake idea is PERFECT this soon!! Too much would be TOO MUCH at this point, plus it may scare the boy off!

Next year, if you are still together, then by all means, pull out all the stops, but right now... less is more!!!

I hope you have a great weekend with him.

Enjoy!!

TC

yeah, I feel pretty confident that it's the right thing to do.

more would be "too much" and trying not to go there these days.

I agree with the others. I think the card and the cake are perfect.

Have a great time.
