me and my boyfriend currently had a huge fight. Well I decided that it would be best to take a month away from all outside distractions, like friends/family in order to work on our relationship, financial situation and our daughters well-being. Well it didnt go so smooth. He said it was a form of control showed his family and now it seems worse. Was I wrong to ask that?

Deelow, Sorry for your situation. Did he agree to taking the time off from the outside distractions snd did he participate for a while? It could just be him resisting to make the changes he needs because he may not be wanting to be in the relationship. However, the fact that you made the decision without consulting with him can been seen as controlling. At the very least is sort of created a parent child relationship and rebelling against the adult is part of that relationship. How about couple's therapy?
