Sini:
I'll be certain to tell Jigs all about MFS tomorrow when we talk.
My little cuddly is 18 lbs of farm tabby cat and totally spoiled rotten. Has a bad attitude too. She likes to sleep on my side of the bed so I many times find myself trying to straddle into the bed so as to not disturb her. Then I think, what the hey am I doin here?? I'm layin w/ no blankets and my legs half off the bed so she can be comfy. She has a fierce growl when you try to move her.
I think the cutest thing she does other than hold my leg is when I type and she wants food she'll come scratch on my leg and meow for her dinner. Mind you she's only 18 lbs so she has to wait. If I ignore her she'll reach up and scratch on my arm (she's declawed) Then if I still ignore her she'll take both paws and grab my arm and try to pull it down. She's just as demanding as everyone else here.
The whoose dog. Has acted the whoose since my cat killed a mouse in front of him. Now he will actually start shakin if she keeps following him around. lol. He's my 90lb house puppy, but he does mind well. Hubby gets upset when he says move, and then move and the dog lays there and from the other room I say MOVE and he does. lol. Dog knows who's boss, huh.
You have a good evening. Hope you enjoy the E-Kitten book.

(MamaC), how well you commuicate with your pets! I was imagining your H daying move then moving himself ahead and landing over the dog! You´re a life savior!!
Now MFS, or Fab for friends, still goes onto my bed, but lies in the bottom part, staring at the mirror. Maybe I´ll have to get her company. Other than that she´s as frisky as ever. We have this big holiday, and I didnt even travel so that we can get used to each other. I can´t wait for the day I´ll be able to give her the house keys (jk) 😉
It was late when I checked the site and I didnt sign on and maybe that´s why I didnt get the e-book, but I´ll do that. Still I do have a preadsheet with Fab´s major events (pee, poop, sleep, bath, etc.
I think I´m going out to show her off to some friends.
Tks and you all be good. CUl8r!

Ras: You might go light on the fish for kitty. To much oils for her if you feed her a lot. She might get sick. Jigs said her vet told her that when she got her kitty.
Sini: If kitty stays at the end of the bed then why not let her sleep there? If you kick her off in your sleep then it's her problem. Just a thought.

YOUR KITTY'S KIBBLES
Ingredients:
3 cups whole wheat flour
2 cups soy flour
1 cup wheat germ
1 cup cornmeal
1 cup nonfat dry milk
1/2 cup brewer's yeast
1 (15 ounce) can mackerel
5 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 tablespoon cod liver oil
2 cups of water or as needed
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Preparation & Cooking
Mix all the dry ingredients in a large bowl. In another bowl, mash the mackerel into small pieces. Mix in the oil and water. Add the mackerel mixture to the dry ingredients and mix thoroughly. The dough is tough, so use your hands.
Roll dough out to about 1/4" thickness and cut into 1/4" bits, using a knife or pizza cutter. Mound the bits onto greased cookie sheets and bake for 25 minutes.
During baking, occasionally toss the bits with two wooden spoons, so they brown evenly. Turn the heat off and allow the treats to cool thoroughly before removing and storing in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
This recipe freezes very well for longer storage.

Wow thanks MamaC for the recipe and the link. I hope the recipes are easy. Tom, I'm making some cookies for Easter. Perhaps I can make some for kitty as well as check out that link.
Sini...my kitty sleeps over my head each nite. In the morning, she wakes up at 4 am and sometimes can really be mischievous like she starts to run all over the place in a boisterous manner. Here I step in and tell her a firm "NO" or If I really am so tired...I simply close my bedroom door and sleep peacefully. When I wake up in the morning, she is camping right outside my bedroom and starts meowing till I wake up and open the door when she darts inside the bedroom. She is hilarious. She really makes me laugh at her childish conduct even tho she's turning to become 6 this June.

MamaC,
Looks like a pretty good recipe for people! I have to diversify Fab´s menu, but I don´t even have cooking gas. The buffet does my meals pretty well and there are many around, and I don´t get tired. So maybe I could do this for Fab´s 1st BD. I´d make sure I have a can of cat food in reserve 😉
Ras,
I´d like to have the cat sleep in my bed, but we are disputing my pillow space! On top of it, I´quite tall and like to stretch so she wouldn´t get a kikc out of this. Also, I never had a pet on my bed, this would be a no no at home. Can you believe she climbed the mosquito net to get onto the bed? She didn´t tear the net, neither did she get in. I caught her just in time. I took away the mirror... maybe if I put it back, she´d settle for the space in my feet. Well, you bet I´ll be keeping the door shut. If she keeps being so frisky, I won´t know what to do with her when she gets older. If I could put her on the ceiling fan
and turn it on, she´d love the view and would plan many a furniture attack. I hear people build high shelves so that cats "can" walk on them. Well, I couldn´t sleep, neither could Fab. Now were both here, me typing and she... sleeping. She´s already gotten a little bigger and a little prettier.
HUGS TO YOU ALL!!!!

Sini~
This is the 1st time I adopt a pet. Sometimes she sleeps beside me on the bed rather than above my head. So you can always adjust and use your common sense.
As time goes by...she will start to fill your life with her sweetness that you will become so attached to her emotionally that don't wanna give her up or away.
The only stumbling block with my kitty is that she is medium-hair fur one which really bugs me. I bought a clippers and have to shave her every few months.
Believe me Sinni, had I not loved my kitty so much, I would have given her away long time ago. But, there is something peculiar about kitties. They seem to enter your heart and occupy a big place so much. I really love her so much. Even when I leave my place, I tend to miss her and look forward to getting back home to see her and greet her as soon as I enter give her a hug and since we both have no kids...she is like my baby and kitty considers me her mom and she will do that to you soon hon.
So enjoy your sweet fabulous kitty as much as you can!
Hugs back to u & kitty!

Hi, Ras!
Fab is so mischieveous that I´m afraid she won´t be so sweet as your Kitty.
The last is she´s up on the edge of my mattress which is up agains the wall, vertically, mind you! The first time, I took her down and scolded her. The second time she was asleep, and I woke her up and gave a small fine mist squirt with a water bottle. She looked ashamed of herself and hid in a lower open shoe shelf. The third time, which is now, she´s sleeping there for more than an hour!!!!! It´s 20:30 and I´m wondering where I´m gonna sleep and what I can do about this...
Hope you had a good Easter!!! Hugs,

Don't forget hon that she is kitten and she is probably in an adaptation period. Kittens are mischievous, it's normal. Mine is mischievous too even tho she is turning 6 in JUne. Give her sometime to adapt and I really suffered a lot with mine, and b4 I was living a smaller place. However, when I weighed the pros and cons...I find out that the pros are much more than the cons and I also moved to a bigger place last summer so that helped a lot. She still sleeps in my bed at night and I honestly enjoy that as a single girl. Just a lil patience and you will fall in love with your kitten like crazy.
My Easter was great. I spent it between church where we had a beautiful long celebration and then a gf from my church invited me to her place to celebrate Easter. I've had fun and lots of laughs & nice food and company.
Tom, Easter Monday, I'll make a special supper & cookies for my male friend and me.
I hope your Easter was great too!

Mama C,
I missed this in your post:
Sini: If kitty stays at the end of the bed then why not let her sleep there? If you kick her off in your sleep then it's her problem. Just a thought.
If kitty would settle for the end of the bed, I´go for that! Reminds of the message at AAC homepage: If you settle for less, you get less than what you settled for......

Ras - this is for you and the cat lovers-
Author Unknown
Although I am too proud to beg and may appear to be a very independent creature,
I ask for your loving care and attention. I rely on you for my well being much more than you may realize.
This I promise you, my benefactor, that I will not be a burden on you nor will I demand more of you than you care to give.
I will be a quiet peaceful island of serenity for you to gaze upon, a soft soothing body to caress, and I shall purr with pleasure to rest your weary ears. Since I am a gourmet who appreciates different taste sensations, I pray you will give me a variety of nutritious foods and fresh water daily.
You know, dear friend, how I love to go. Allow me, I pray, a warm sheltered place where I can rest peacefully and feel secure. If I am wounded in battle or suffering from disease, please tend me gently, and see that I am treated by loving and competent hands. Please protect me from the inhuman humans who would hurt and torture me for their own amusement. I am accustomed to your gentle touch and am not always suspicious nor swift enough to avoid such malicious acts.
In my later years when my senses fail me and my infirmities become too great to bear, allow me the comfort and dignity that I desire for my closing days and help me gently in my pain or passing. Hear this prayer, my dear friend, my fate depends on you.
