I pray for my sister and her husband and their son. They are separated and the husband is alchoholic and the son is having emotional problems. I pray that they can work things out to be together. I pray the husband can stop drinking. I pray that if things don't work out my sister can find happiness with someone else. I pray that the son can be strong through it all and not be scarred.

I think this thread is a wonderful idea, vegas. Props to you for the idea.

I would like to ask anyone who would, to pray for my friend W. She has been struggling with an alcoholic husband for years. He is always "going to change" and then of course can't maintain the facade very long. To make a long story short, he was driving last night while intoxicated, an officer attempted to pull him over and he resisted. By the time he arrived home there were four police officers in pursuit and he was arrested in front of their four small children. She refused to bail him out and is realizing this is it. She called me in the wee hours this a.m. in tears. She lives two hours away and family etc is all here where I am. She is a Christian and he is not. He will fake it when things get bad, to get himself out of hot water.

So I pray today for W and her children. I pray that she will feel the prescence of God around her today, holding her up and giving her the strength to make the right choices for her children, while doing what God wants her to do. I pray that the children will not be affected too badly by what they've seen. I pray for her hubby that one day he will stop and face his addiction and deal with it instead of blaming it on everyone else.

I pray for stopitnow and anyone else who is feeling alone and unloved this holiday season, or any day. That they may know the peace that passes all understanding and to know that they are so loved and never alone.

I thank God, lastly but not least! for my wonderful friends and lively discussion partners here on the board.

🙂

I can't resist...but I have to ask you all, if you have the heart, to please pray for my exboyfriend romeo. Some of you know the situation...and may think he is unworthy of your prayers. I will understand.

But, please pray that romeo will do what is right, whatever it ends up being. Please pray that God heals romeo's pain and fills him...that God's will be done with romeo.

thank you.
God Bless

Please pray for my dad who is having surgery tomorrow morning. He had prostrate cancer about a year and a half ago. The treatment made things worse than the disease. He has a hole in his bladder and bowel. The doctor has let it go on too long and now my dad's bladder is shot. Tomorrow they are going to a permanent urinary bypass into a bag and a temporary colostomy until his bowel has had a chance to heal. He will wear 2 bags for 3-4 months. Then the colostomy can be reversed.

He is very very depressed and I am really worried about the surgeries tomorrow. He is only 68 and has not had a life for over a year now. I'm scared and tired and my faith is lacking a little right now. Thanks for everyone's prayers. I will update you guys on how everything went this weekend.
Love, TS

Tooscared, I'm praying for your dad today. Let him know in three-four months things will begin to turn around... it just needs time to heal. God is with him.

My prayer is for all of you on this board, in thanks for your help and listening when I needed it, and in hopes that God will see all of your hopes and dreams come to fruit.

I pray for TS's Dad, as this is the surgery my own father went through. Also, knowing first hand how hard cancer is to live with.

I pray for Boland, that she may continue to get better as she seems to be.

I pray for my daughter, who seems to have suffered a set back after receiving that letter.

In HIS peace.

Zinnie

Tooscared, I will pray that your dad came through his surgery and that he will again have a good life and that his depression will lift.

Vegas, Of course you know I'll support you and pray for romeo, though I don't like him :}. Everyone is worth praying for.

I will pray for us all that God will help us with our pain and our loved ones' struggles. This is a great thread!!!!

Pray for TS's Dad, and my son and his father too. He cried like a baby on the phone to me last night, and all I can do is pray for them to find their way. Pray for my friend's grandson, who was just diagnosed at six months old with diabetes, enduring 4-6 shots a day and testing 10 x day, and his father and mother have split. Thanks for starting this thread.

I pray
That in all of our struggles and tribulations, we find the courage, strength, and wisdom to make this world a better place kuz we're in it. No matter how little, or relevant, I just pray that through all the sadness, fear, anxiety, anger, grief, confusion that we all seem to share, will come goodness, and the world will be a better place because of it.

So that His will shall be done. And Good shall prevail.

Matthew 21.22:
"If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer."

Isaiah 65.24:
Before they call, I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear.

Mark 11.24:
Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you received it, and it will be yours.

1 John 5:14-15
And we can be confident that he will listen to us whenever we ask him for anything in line with his will. And if we know he is listening when we make our requests, we can be sure that he will give us what we ask for.

I come in tears tonight asking all of you to pray for my friend "w". I posted the situation above....she has decided to stay. A pastor/advisor told her she needs to be her hubby's safe place, that his disease is something she needs to stay and try to help him with. Not forever, but for a while yet. I am sick. I cannot put into words the things I've listened to and watched over the years. All I can think of is, "but the children! who asks them to grow up like this???!!!"

Being the recovering codependent I am, I am concentrating on NOT trying to ride in to save the day on my white horse. Instead I am drawing on my faith and the exact verses listed above by vegas. I turn up the John Lennon and say a prayer and do my best to let it go.

Please remember this family in your prayers tonight. Please. Thank you!

I have prayed for each and every post on this wonderful thread. Each and every unique and beautiful person and their loved ones here on this site.

Please add a young man I know, very much still the little boy that lost his mother too young. He is a lost soul right now, very low and in desperate need of our prayers.

Thank you.
