Plastic surgery

I smoked for several years in my early twenties. I do think it has an enormous affect on the way your skin appears. I know how terrible you must be feeling with the breakup. I have been there. For me it was a loss of appetite which led to sudden weight loss (when I was slim already), which made me look terrible, and also alcohol, which speaks for itself.

I know it's hard. Really hard. Breakups are the worst. It does get easier over time. Try to smoke a few less each day, and replace those with something good for you...

But don't beat yourself up for needing comfort right now. We all need comfort. The trick is, to wean ourselves off the bad comforts and seek the good ones.

Please take care, and post back if you want to talk..

Thanks for your post. I think alike. I am constantly being torn between trying to regain the me that I once was, and accepting the new (older!) me.

Speaking of hairstyles, I had my hair cut and coloured the other day, and although I still have other flaws, I do feel better about myself. Also I have gained four pounds, which has filled my cheeks out a little bit!!

My ex spoke to me yesterday, in a really sweet manner. I felt the closure I have been dying for, for eighteen months..........and that has had miraculous results!!!!!!!!!!

Peace to you,

Sorry about that, I meant to (thought I had !) posted back to you.

I appreciate everyones' input here, and I did indeed read your post, and I found it really helpful. Especially the information about sunlight, and the list of healthy foods.

Ras, forgive me for my oversight...

I am going to keep referring to the hints and tips on this thread, and adapt my lifestyle for the better!!

I have gained weight, and I feel more energetic. Had my hair cut and coloured. I do feel a little more positive about myself. Plus the ex came over and spoke to me the other day. It's amazing how beneficial that was. I relaxed for the first time in eighteen months!!

Hope you are having a fun weekend!

I watched One of my Favorite shows last night.... "Nip/Tuck" its kinda dark and a little odd, but so many of the shows characters have plastic surgery WITH therapy Before having anything :done" surgically. but watchingthis show reminded me of this thread... And this morning, I decided to get up...LOL (Ive been sleeping In too much lately.) LOl
And I showered Immediately, TOOK the time to shave, Do My hair, ((which needs a new color soon.) and I "Put my faceon." Refused the first instict to just throw on sweats, which are "nice" but Still have been adding to my overall frumpy-dumpy Morale. I pit on some pants that FIT, and a "nice" top. Itas No makeover , tummy tuck, eyelift or Lipo.... But it really did change how I tackled the rest of the AM, adnm early afternoon... for the better.
Just thought Id share that i acted on some of the posts' suggestions, and It did make a difference.
Hope everyone Is having a great weekend!!!

Glad you had a great weekend, and felt gooooooood about yourself.

I am also trying out these tips, and feeling better about myself too. I just have to learn to be less harsh on myself now, and reach that balance.

Hope you caught my reply (a few posts back)

Just want you to know I appreciated the time and effort you went to with your post.

I was a bit shocked to see that I had missed your name off my replies, as I always like to say thank you to someone who has replied to me, especially someone like you Ras, who has been here for me over the past year (almost a year!), and who I think so highly of!
